Gratitude is a pillar of success

Be thankful!

By The Breatharian BloggerPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

What was it about appreciation that made it deserving of such a prominent position? It is a "shortcut to happiness" because it is, in many circumstances, the most straightforward and fastest approach to increase our happiness by just recognizing and appreciating all of the wonderful things that we already have in our lives but have simply forgotten to enjoy and adore.

Why don't we all make use of this convenient shortcut? Our brain is much too adept at adapting to all of the wonderful things that we have at our disposal. It is constantly looking for ways to be more efficient, and it is more efficient for the brain itself not to waste energy on admiration and to think about all of the wonderful things that we have already accomplished and made. Nonetheless, by concentrating on efficiency, we miss out on the possibility for greater pleasure and thriving.

To examine thankfulness on two levels, one must first raise one's level of awareness by acknowledging and paying attention to all the great things in one's life, and then one must express thanks for those things - even the seemingly little things that other people may take for granted.

Gratitude may be felt and expressed in a variety of ways by different people. They may apply it to the past (retrieving pleasant memories and being grateful for components of previous benefits), the present (not taking good fortune for granted when it comes their way), and the future (not taking good fortune for granted as it arrives) (maintaining a hopeful and optimistic attitude). Individuals who are grateful acknowledge the contributions made by others to their wellbeing, appreciate simple pleasures (that is, pleasurable experiences that are readily available to the majority of people), and recognize the importance of experiencing and expressing gratitude as part of their overall wellbeing.

The most crucial thing to remember when increasing one's thankfulness is that, in most interventions and studies, the "boost" to one's wellbeing as a result of increasing gratitude does not occur instantly but rather accumulates steadily over time.

Because of this, thankfulness is a particularly effective "tool," especially given the evidence from several other wellbeing-related research showing the mental health effects of happy activities frequently diminish rather than grow with time.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful forces on the face of the planet. As you learn to enjoy your life, your life will improve. As you express gratitude for the good things in your life, you will discover even more things to be thankful for. Gratitude has the ability to magnify and enlarge anything it comes into contact with. Let's start with you. You want to learn to be more appreciative of who you are right now.

Gratitude may be felt and expressed in a variety of ways by different people. They may apply it to the past (retrieving pleasant memories and being appreciative for parts of childhood or previous blessings), the present (not taking good fortune for granted as it happens), and the future (not taking good fortune for granted as it comes) (maintaining a hopeful and optimistic attitude). The ability to express thankfulness, regardless of one's innate or present degree, is a trait that people may effectively nurture further.

Thanksgiving is a means for individuals to recognize and appreciate what they already have, rather than always striving for something new in the hopes of making themselves happy or believing that they will not be pleased until all of their physical and material needs have been addressed. People who practice gratitude are more likely to concentrate on what they have rather than what they lack. And, despite the fact that it may seem fabricated at first, this mental state becomes stronger with time and repetition.
