Goal Ideas To Try

Personal Fitness Goals

By Mariah GordonPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

We all have goals we want to achieve, right? I know I do!

For you to want to achieve those goals, you should start off by creating a plan. Maybe try doing a 30-day challenge and documenting your progress. It is okay to just start one monthly goal and then gradually do more.

There are different categories that you can set your goals in, which include fitness, work, school, healthy, lifestyle, relationships, etc. I have personally tried setting goals in every single one of these categories that I mentioned and well……it is harder than it seems lol.

Personal Fitness Goals Ideas

1. Stretch Your Body!

· Whether you are waking up in bed or just finished an assignment, just take a few minutes to stretch your muscles. For most, this can be very relaxing!

2. Try-Out Yoga!

· I have yet to start this myself, but I have heard from many people that yoga is amazing at improving flexibility and your mood. Yoga is also a stress reliever, so that is a plus in my book!

3. 30 Push-Ups A Day!

· Might seem easy at first but doing this every day on a busy schedule can have you forgetting about it. I have tried this every day and my mind does sometimes forget.

4. 30 Sit-Ups A Day!

· If you do not want to start by doing push-ups a day try sit-ups instead!

5. Meditate!

· Meditating can improve your mood just by sitting and relaxing just by doing nothing for a few minutes of your day!

Personal Health Goals Ideas

1. Get More Sleep!

· Try creating a sleep schedule. It can include waking up at the same time in the morning and falling asleep at the same time each night.

· Avoid caffeine.

· Also maybe try taking naps no more than 30 minutes.

2. Eat More Vegetables!

· Eating more vegetables give great health benefits, such as it can help lower your blood pressure!

3. Eat More Fruit!

· Just like vegetables, eating more fruit (especially frozen fruit) also gives great health benefits! So, try adding a cup of fruit to your meals.

4. Eat Breakfast Every Day!

· Try making an omelet, eating cereal, or drinking a frozen smoothie every day.

5. Drink Plenty of Water!

· Okay, this is something that I personally had to get used to too. Keep a reusable water bottle with you (specifically with a time marker) and try drinking one bottle of water before each meal.

Personal Self-Care Goals ideas

1. Go Out for A Walk!

· Sometimes going for a walk can help get your mind off things. Especially if your busy and stressed most of the time.

2. Read A Book!

· This is a hobby that I love doing since I was a child! Reading a book can increase vocabulary, reduce stress, and increase empathy.

3. Treat Yourself!

· There is nothing wrong with treating yourself. So, give yourself a bubble bath or buy a gift!

4. Listen to Music!

· Put on some Jazz or any type of calming music and just relax!

5. Express Yourself!

· You can do this by drawing, writing notes to yourself, or keeping a journal to document your life.

Personal Educational Goals ideas

1. Time Management!

· Get a planner and plan. Record all your schedules so that when the time comes, you will know beforehand. A planner has helped me a lot with remembering my daily routines!

2. Try Speaking More in Class!

· If you are like me then speaking up in class can seem impossible. I have personally tried this for myself and the results I got were helpful. Also, it is okay if you need more time to do this!

3. Find A Mentor!

· You can find mentors in public or on social media. A mentor has the patience and skills to inspire you to do better!

4. Join A Study group!

· Study groups are a great way of meeting new people! The members within the group can help each other out on various subjects.

5. Accept Failure!

· It is completely okay to fail at times! I have done it myself and I am sure plenty of successful people can say the same. Just remember to always be determined and try again.
