I got the offer to start with this company and I’m thrilled that it is one of the best companies in town. Heard that its employees work well together, share the same goals and have a sense of purpose within the business. I can feel that the environment is positively different and it’s obvious that the staff are happy, appreciated and satisfied with their job because of the welcoming atmosphere.

My first day at work was both exciting and nerve-wracking. I was introduced to my colleagues and given a tour of the workplace and introduced to my team members and other departments that i will be working with. I meet with my supervisor and line of managers and was able to discuss my job duties, expectations, and goals. I was also given an orientation to familiarize myself with the company's policies, procedures, and systems. It was a bit boring with all these information’s dumped at your disposal at once but I it was worth it.

Overall, it was a mixture of meeting new people, learning about my new role and responsibilities, and getting acclimated to the workplace. It was absolutely new to me but I’m so super excited and could not wait to start my job.

That first step was a leap for me and It was the journey I make in formal employment for almost 10 years and I did not regret a second. There are a lot of challenges along the way but it was part and partial of the journey. Every set back experienced was a set up for a comeback beaming with the attitude to learn and know more.
