Everything You SEE Is ART
There is Magick In Nature

Everything you SEE is Art.
Late Saturday afternoon, I decided to… just be. No work, no worries, just…be. I really do not watch television, but I felt compelled to watch a show called whose ads kept coming up from time to time, I just felt the show theme and settings were not for me.
However, Saturday the show's advertising came up again. I’m big on taking direction from my angels, so I decided to watch at least one episode. OMG! I ended up binge-watching the entire series. I went to bed at 2:00 a.m. exhausted, but glad I took the time. Here is what I found.
One of the most beautifully filmed shows I have ever seen. The long views of hills, valleys, stands of tall trees being moved by an invisible wind, the flowing energy of rivers and streams, herds of beautiful horses and cattle included sunrises and sunsets. To me what I SAW was outside of the dialog of the show presentation. I enjoyed watching what the filmmakers used to frame the story versus the story. Although, some parts of the story taught me timely lessons.
What I came away with was a striking statement from one of the characters, he said, “I have watched that girl live more of her life in the last six months than I have in a lifetime.”
I decided at that moment to live my life to the fullest. Going forward, every moment will count.
I went to sleep with the conviction that if my eyes were open, I was to SEE all I could see and experience life from a new set of eyes. To start, I decided to get up early Sunday morning to have coffee while sitting in the rocking chairs on the Long Beach pier.
I found the rocking chairs I wanted, sat down and purposefully relaxed, breathed in the ocean air, and soaked in the sunlight. The chairs were located near the boat dock and several seagulls flew overhead telling me Good Morning! Wow, what a beautiful day!
As I was scanning the area wondering what it would feel like to own a boat, pier costs, upkeep, etc., one of the owners boarded his boat and commenced to rinsing it off. I asked myself why he is rinsing off the boat? Later, I surmised it’s like a car, one would rinse it to remove the dust. But it also showed pride of ownership. That’s what it would feel like to own a boat.
As the water from the hose fell on the boat, rays of the sun began to reflect off the droplets. They appeared to be little pinpoints of light all over the boat, to me it began to glow. He began to dry the droplets, then the true color of the boat and its lines became prominent from my perspective. It was now a work of art.
I was sitting facing the starboard (right) side. What popped out to me were the shiny chrome railings that went around the bow, the blue and white colors of the hull, and four powerful outboard motors that went over the stern. Each individual part of the boat was magnificent.
When I adjusted my view, to see the boat as a whole; it was a work of ART, outstanding in the way it sat in the water, lifting ever so slightly. My mind said the power of the water in and of itself to lift that beautiful creature is amazing! I did tell him he missed a spot. He was a good sport and invited me in jest me to come help him. Sunday was an amazing day to be sure.
Since then, I see beauty in things I took for granted before. The sunlight bathing dew-kissed leaves on trees, two squirrels playing chase, and the breastplate colors of hummingbirds that fly to the window I look out of every morning while drinking tea.
If you have a chance, stop a moment, and see the ART in nature. Be mindful for a moment, you never know what you will SEE.
