Embracing Imperfections
Encouraging And Emotional Letter To Myself
I have been feeling very low for sometime. So, today I woke up and I decided to write a motivational letter to myself. We all go through a lot in our daily lives and I believe that this letter is for everyone who has been going through so much struggle.
"Dear Self!
You tell yourself that you should be stronger and more confident, and that the scars you've endured should make you less clumsy.
Yeah, that's wrong. There is room for improvement, but you are making headway. Falling, breaking, and feeling lost are all perfectly normal. Living, trying, and getting better are more important than saving the world.
Why are you always so hard on yourself when things don't go according to plan? Why do you often allow regret to paralyze you to the point that you second-guess everything you do? I am aware that this is your strongest suit. No matter how terrible you feel or how unclear your ideas are, you must press on. Those are more than plenty, in my opinion.
The silent struggles you face while you're alone yourself go unnoticed, and I get that. They have no idea how difficult it is to battle debilitating sadness on a daily basis while yet making progress. Aside from that, I can discern the specifics. I hope you can also see it. The strength you draw from within yourself to keep going, especially when you're by yourself. Do not overlook this. We greatly appreciate your attendance.
So much has been piling on to you that you can't remember the last time you released a single burden. Maybe we will lose all sense of how to survive in this dreadful, brutal planet. Still, you won't have to carry the weight in isolation. It will pass from your life eventually. It is quite acceptable to rest and unwind. You've been really strong for so long; now it's time to unwind and recharge.
Love may find you in the most unlikely of places, but I hope you're ready to accept it when it knocks. Put your history in the past. You deserve love anyway. Truthfulness is not necessary for love. Having one's authentic self—flaws and all—acknowledged and loved is the major concept. Embrace the unconditional love that does not demand anything from you. That you are wonderful in your own right should serve as a lesson to you.
All people rely on you. No matter how terrible your self-esteem is feeling at any one moment. No matter how weary you are. All people rely on you.
Take a moment to think on how far you've gone and all you've conquered. The fact that you're still standing says it everything, considering all you've been through. Even now, you're standing tall.
If you don't have support, you'll be alone. Getting help and relying on other people is OK. And even when it feels like there's no way out, I hope you remember that you have a decent heart and that there is compassion in the world. You are very deserving of it.
Love never really dies. There is yet a ray of hope. Nothing, no matter how heavy it seemed, should have ever placed you on your own. Cave to peer pressure. Relax and get well.
Being kind to oneself is important, even when life isn't treating you well. Embrace it; it is yours to keep.
With Love,
Yours Truly Only"
