I guess this is the kind of thing that makes life worth being present for, and by being present, I don't just mean that in reference to simply time. I mean by simply being in the moment. Almost like reaching nirvana, if you will. I've been up since before 4:00 this morning and now I'm up moving about the house taking care of some simple chores and the weather is perfect (to me, anyway.) A light breeze blowing through, it's dark out still. People are just now waking up for the day, with hardly any traffic on the street. It's quiet. It's pristine, perfect. There's a pleasant smell in the air. Isn't it remarkable how if you smell something, it takes you through a time warp, to a certain point in your past that you wish you could relive and experience again, maybe wish you could do it better than you did before? I know this may seem a bit strange but as I turn up my nose to the wind and smell that crisp morning air, I suddenly find myself whisked back into when I used to play baseball back in junior high school. It wasn't the most pleasant time but it was the most humbling. I guess I could be getting soft, nostalgic, and maybe even at a point where some of you reading this would tilt your head to the side and think that something odd is happening but the point I'm trying to make here is that for the first time in a really long time, I'm feeling at peace within myself, emotionally, physically, spiritually, in my heart and in my soul. And I've missed this feeling.

It's the simplicity of it all that's making time stop for me to really kick back and enjoy everything life has to offer. It's conditions like this that really deserves one to take the time to just stop and enjoy, maybe even meditate a bit and be thankful for the things you have and for the things you will eventually accomplish and achieve. And if that's the case, then I'm certainly looking forward to everything life has to offer just to be able to come back to the same situation I'm in right now. And I don't know about the rest of you, but doesn't that seem to be something that really makes you appreciate things, appreciate life?

If you've made it this far, then I thank you for reading this all the way through and letting me pour my heart and soul out to all of you this morning. If this has enlightened you in any way, in any amount, then I'm truly thankful that it did and I hope you feel the same way and I hope you carry it with you throughout the day.
