Do Entrepreneurs Have A Fear Of Success?

For the sake of self-preservation, most entrepreneurs are assumed to fail in their endeavors

I've had the opportunity to visit many places around the world; there have been many exciting new and different experiences, as well as exciting people I've met along the way. So the fact that my last trip to Australia seems to be turning out way smoother than I had planned, supports my hypothesis.

From what I gathered, the Australian people are mostly gainfully employed and have a great deal of disposable personal wealth. They have excellent chances of success. Yet, they want me to motivate them to want more?

For that reason, some of the people came to know about my talk and what I had to suggest, with a lot of anticipation. They would be open to questions and explanations for what they felt was unusual. Really, they expected me to have detailed responses to their perceived to be profound questions.

Questions like...

  • Is this going to help me progress with my career?
  • What's most critical for me to start my own online business?
  • For the remainder of my life, what are my dreams, goals, values and ambitions?
  • Why am I even here?

Once upon a time, there may have been issues that have changed reality. We always have our own tale, but it's not all that accessible or comprehensible to those around us.

For anyone who is afraid of losing, fighting is scarier than performance.

What made them frightened? Fear of success?

Yeah, start-ups and the expansion of an online business would mean significant costs both now and in future, but it would be a small fraction of how far a typical corporation starts and expands.

I seldom get raving responses for those questions.

And oddly, they end up denying or pretending that they don't matter while they already struggle with a lot of issues.

This may be what happens when we get this scenario...

It is, after all, the weekend. It's time for your daily drinking friends. A chill out at the pub.

However, you are confronted with a long list of tasks. You feel good that you should prioritize this, but this decision appears impossible to adhere to.

You argue and try to postpone stuff by yourself. The next day or the next week, you can always do it later. It is more urgent to get chilled at the pub.

But on the other side, procrastination gives rise to fear and suffocates. You feel stifled.

What do you do now? What's next?

Take action to cope with any problem that is getting in the way of your progress

Write down on paper, what alternatives do you have?

Which decision or action takes you further from or nearer to your goals?

It's important to accomplish one's aims when fresh knowledge becomes available: Take action as we discover what can help us progress

And with that in mind, you then put in a lot of time and effort with the goal to build and cultivate a profitable online business or startup.

Unfortunately, that wasn't quite how it worked out. For some weeks, there were no substantial positive results to be found, not anywhere near the horizon. Your mental batteries are getting depleted. It will fall apart if you are unable to maintain your hold on it.

You have to overcome your fear or hit face down

But, what are we going to do next?

When we start our own online company, it is essential that we be efficient and profitable.

Please keep going, not giving up, and spending time and money on your business development (not for pleasure)

Entrepreneurship means despite our fears, we keep taking consistent action, with an open mind about future positive prospects. We do what others are not willing to do more with their time, and give up our 'pleasures' until we hit a significant goal.

Take your current status, expertise and potential goals into account and put them front of mind.

Can you work with someone with a similar but separate background to hold each other accountable?

As you invest your time and energy into it, you get your positive returns. Finally, as a consequence, you will attain your goals and see your online business grow and thrive

If you check out the site DerekGehl.com, it has a great deal of motivation and knowledge about how to resolve fears when starting your online business, many of which can be found under the blog section.

So get going, keep taking action and let your imagination run wild!
