Consistency sucks

So stop trying so hard

By kitta brandPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

I've never been very good at being consistent, so instead, I'll just work on things that I am good at. that being just writing random shit and seeing what actually sticks. Lately, I've found that my best writing comes from when I stop trying to force some coherent word juice from my brain and just start typing something. In the end, if what I write is bad then who cares I can just try again tomorrow until something good happens. Anyways below you'll find some captions for the artwork I've made recently with the captions that I made at the moment to go alongside them. Do any of them make sense? How am I supposed to know lol? Read them or don't I do not care, see ya later folks.

Kennedy

Kennedy

Why do you call on me?

Someone who cannot feel

I don't understand your choice, your words. See?

It doesn't work

It doesn't matter

It's useless trying to get through to you.

Ego

Ego

Read too deep and you may get hurt

Feel the heat and you may get burned

Don't get too close

Don't fall

Don't sink or you may drown

For those who seek the most have more to lose.

Opinions

Opinions

I am unphased

Bound to the ground

Try to move me

In the end it doesn't matter

I've already moved on

You mean nothing to me.

Rumours

Rumours

Did you hear what they said about you?

Yeah pretty nasty stuff.

If you feel then need to put others down with lies and misinformation then be my guest.

But also

Shut up

Seriously

Don't you have better things to do?

Content

Content

What's in the box?

$500 dollars!

No just kidding

But what would you prefer?

Money or content

Choose wisely

Pop

Pop

How long until I gotta burst your bubble

Geez you're so fragile

Bouncey

It won't be long until

Pop

And now you're gone.

The sensation of touch is highly overrated. The mere feeling that us humans perceive is all but an illusion. The knowledge of this doesn't really help us though, why? I can still feel, even if it isn't real therefore does it really matter? Probably not but try not to think about it too much.

Eat some cheese instead.

Feelings

Feelings

Why do we care about what others think about us? Like what do we gain from pondering about what the people around us think. It feels like kind of a waste of energy and time. If someone has something to say about me either say it to my face or don't bother. Keeping the information to yourself and ruminating over it does nothing to help yourself or others. You'd be better off doing something stupid, then being told that was stupid and taking action to not repeat that stupid act rather than thinking 'should I do this?'.

Our individual minds can quite often only see one side of the coin but we have the power to gain insight from the use of those around us, so don't be afraid to use the perspective of others. In the end it's better than relying on yourself.

Apart

Apart

I don't like to associate myself with particular groups or a singular idea. It can quite often become stale and monotonous. I instead try to draw my wisdom and knowledge through multiple sources. Why trust one person? What if they get something wrong? What if they're missing something? What if there's more I could be learning? These questions come from a good place and most people find comfort through the act of faith. I don't believe in faith. I don't ridicule those who follow faith I just know that it's not for me and I'm ok with that.

With that being said don't ever pigeon hole yourself. Tunnel vision leads to misunderstanding and a potential loss in the pursuit of knowledge.
