Farhan lived in a small village. He was known for his good character. Whenever he saw his friends, he would greet them politely and ask about their well-being. One day, Farhan was carrying a goat on his shoulders. His friends were standing behind a tree when they saw him pass by. One of them called out to Farhan, but he did not respond or pay any attention.

One friend said, “Let’s follow him and see where he’s going.” Curious, all three started following Farhan. They were puzzled, as the usual village paths were left behind, and they could not guess his destination. Soon, they saw Farhan stop near a man who looked extremely poor. His clothes were tattered, and he seemed as if he had not eaten in days.

Farhan smiled and said, “The goat will come again. But these people were suffering from hunger. They could fall sick or even die without help. Helping them was more important than my own attachment to the goat.”
