Chapter 0.2 - What Hurdles and Creative Block Can Remind You In Life #pleasereadMillennials
Creative Diaries - Technology, Timing and Teachings

If you have read my previous piece on Perfection, this will help you get a gist of my drive. As I am writing this, I am battling my main head voice which is a strict, mean and demeaning Main Character.
You know too well that social media puts the āperfectā stuff.
Our original drive as a child was to createā¦
And here we are āadultingā and learning the art of do-ing all over again ⦠#innerexpression #postlockdown
Remember, show-and-tell at school?
Welcome, this is juju.
I am here for my introverts, misfits and ādivergents.ā
~juju is working on a film project.
This is different because Iāve accepted a contractā
A contract to have my work shared to the Arts body across my state.
It has a deadline. A dead-line
Although itās not quite a line. Itās a crazy squiggle!
I forget that a film project like any project ā creative, planning for an event or life in general is going to make you feel like TIME is against you, TECHNOLOGY is against you and ________ (you can add you experience here).
The human experience: Our vision or goal is like a colourful dream - illusive and badly perfect.
Hurdles, hurdles, hurdles
First hurdle:
Archiving and converting digital files.

Who is the Middle Man between all these cords? YIKES.
Technology, technology, technology. You make our lives easy, fast and convenient. But ā
What do you do when you come across a 1990s Sony Handycam, mini DV tapes and an 2011 Apple Machine?*
āBack to the Futureā vibes right?
Iāve only got Google, Youtube and my trusted film mate to help me. And letās add in my Millennial brain too.
*Iām still in the process of how to transfer this film format onto my laptop. So far QuickTime Player is helping. LIVE - still working on it.
Second hurdle:
-My 11 year old Apple MacBook who has been my āmother brainā for a little over a decade has decided to die on me.

The universe allows you to get into hurdles:
Where is the universe in this?
1. A broken mess can turn into a hidden blessing

I did what I could. Luckily, I backed up 70% of my stuff prior to my laptop breakdown.
I donāt remember the last time re-booting and re-installing my Mac.
I am now using a Mother brain version 2.0.
How weird?
Just in time to move on to my new chapter #comingofage.
2. The hurdle will show you how much energy and soul you are willing to sacrifice in your project/event. The hurdle will give you your worst monsters and you will hear voices telling you to give up.
Thatās when YOU - as the protagonist makes choices and take action from this.
Jujuās bite-sized life wisdom:
The end product is only a fraction of the story.
At the end, we all want to hear the mayhem, the mishaps, the madness āthe hurdles. Thatās what we want ultimately āalthough we donāt want it in the moment.
And I would like to add, coming out of my first chapter of surviving my twenties, Millennial please hear meā
The only way through is āJust keep swimming.ā (Anyone watching Finding Nemo during lockdown?)
3. Your Character will be tested and you will testify what hard work really feels like.
If that didnāt happen, we would notā¦
I forget this too. Fear overrides our āMother-Nurturingā voice.
You will only know ā if you turn up, go through it, and listen.
Now go get it.
ā
This is a diary series behind one so-called artist out of almost 8 billion people who is trying to re-live her chilhood dreams of being an artist in this beautiful sacred land of Australia.
This is my aim her to show you that āMessā is part of the journey.
We can definitely Make Meaning from our Mess.
