Timing Is Everything
We learn something new every second of the day, literally. We don't think the said things to be of importance, so they're not regarded as such. The greatest thing we learn, or should I say should, is no second can come before it's time. In other words, we should live each second as if it were our last. Whatever we're doing, it should be done as if it were the greatest thing we've ever thought about doing. This is what change is all about, self-improvement. The type of self-improvement that'll become contagious, I'm talking about that'll produce worldwide change. But like with everything, change begins within the process of our thinking, seeing thought initiates everything, including the ending of everything.
A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Waste
When we change our thinking, our lives will begin to change. True vision begins within our minds, it's where we first see things as we wish for them to be. The clearer we see whatever it is that appeared in our mind's eye, the more likely we'll see it with our physical sight. We must clear our minds of thoughts not geared towards what we desire if we expect to change the narrative.
How do we go about changing our thinking? Well, it's as simple as to stop thinking like we once did. If we don't like something about ourselves, all we need to do is think the opposite of what created the condition. If our thinking is responsible for our mishaps, wouldn't it only be logical that our thinking will to responsible for our resolve as well? Most times we overthink things, which is usually brought about based on the severity of the situation. I'm going to give you an example of how I changed a condition, by changing my thinking.
The Seven (7) Day Rule -vs- The Twenty-one Day Theory
In days gone by I found myself not being able to do five (5) push-ups. I was so embarrassed, I initially regarded myself as a loser. At first, I thought I'd never get beyond this and thought of giving up. But instead of quitting, I became determined to change my current reality. So, I began the journey of mastering doing "perfect push-ups (meaning my form was as it should be to bring about about the desired result)," by performing five (5) ever seven (7) days. I was out to prove the old saying "it takes twenty-one days to break a habit" wrong, though this wasn't a habit, well, not yet at least, I was determined to prove to myself I could produce a major change in no more than seven (7) days.
It wasn't easy, but my desire was greater than my circumstance. The more I did what I was doing, the more I wanted to do it. As weeks turned into months, my routine had in fact became a habit, a very good one I may add. In five (5) months, I went from not being able to do five (5) push-ups, to doing one hundred (100) perfect push-ups straight. As you can see, the aforementioned accomplishment didn't come about overnight, but over time. I put the thought on my mind that not only was I going to accomplish my goal, but how I was going to get it done as well. I changed my condition by changing my thinking.
Three Keys To Success
If we believe it, work for it, and remain consistent with the two, we'll achieve it. It's all mental. True story.
Thank you for reading my words. May all you deserve and desire flow abundantly into your life like a river does into a sea.
