Bad Mood Vs Good Mood…

You Can Turn It Around…

There are a multitude of things in life that we, as society, just cannot ignore. I have heard it referenced to as: death, taxes, and humanity. These are three basics that no human can avoid. However, we need to add a fourth to this list, moods. We cannot ignore our good moods versus our bad moods. Let’s face it; we all have swing from both sides of the mood pendulum from time to time.

As much as we might try, we are not going to always be in a good or positive mood. Even the most positive people experience bad moods from time to time. A bad mood can be caused by a few different things; lack of sleep, stressful day, or the anticipation of a stressful day; just to mention a few causes. Literally, a few that I am very familiar with!

However, I have also learned several ways to get myself out of the funk of a bad mood and back on track with a good one. First things first, you must want to overcome your bad mood for any of these tricks to work. So, make certain you are at that stage before even trying any of the suggestions below.

• Don’t Pretend: This is huge! Do not pretend that you are okay and in a glorious mood, when you are not. People will know the difference and be able to tell. If someone asks what is wrong; tell them. No one is perfect and no one expects anyone else to be either. Remove the stigma that your bad mood will rub off on someone else; that is not your concern. You are your own concern.

• Own It: This is important, because until you take responsibility for yourself and your own feelings; you certainly cannot change them for the better. Think it through and make a solid decision as to what got you in the bad mood in the first place. Do not stay there in the negative and dwell on it; make a resolution to change it and improve your attitude at the same time. This may bring enlightenment to you when you realize why you are in the bad spirit at all. It may very well be something that you can avoid for next time.

• Mental Mantra: This is usually something I do on a regular basis whether I am in a bad mood or not. I simply repeat to myself, in my head so no one hears me, positive quotes, mantras, or positive phrases. This can open into a pit of wills battling against each other if not done correctly. By doing this is proving to not only yourself, but others, that you can successfully control your moods.

Surely there are more ideas than just these three that I have mentioned here. However, whatever tactic becomes your go-to, feel free to embrace it and go for it! There is no room for bad moods or negative vibes on a regular basis in your life. Not anymore at least. There are always reasons and opportunities to switch things up and be known for the one that has the good attitude or good mood more than anyone else.

If nothing else imagine it this way; you may be uplifting someone else just as much as you are uplifting yourself. That should be reason enough to investigate bettering not only your moods, but your lifestyle all together. I can personally say; since I have been paying more attention to my bad mood versus my good mood; the good mood has been on the forefront more often than not.
