This time I am writing about a startup guide to Affiliate Marketing exclusively for beginners.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is an online business model.

One can easily make thousands of dollars from Affiliate Marketing business model.

A simple definition to Affiliate Marketing is You promote someone else product and if sales happen from the link you promoted you will earn a commission.

So, Afifliate Marketing is a business model by which one can make a lot of commission money by promoting other brands products and services. Promotion is not just enough as you have to give sales to your affiliates to earn money.

A Biggest Affiliate Marketing Program

Almost every popular brand and stores are accepting affiliate accounts for users on their stores.

Out of all affiliate programs out there, Amazon Associates is one of the biggest programs in the world that has a millions of users as their affiliate partners itself.

Apart from Amazon Associates, there are a lot of other popular brands and websites that offers Affiliate accounts. Some of them are:

• ClickBank
• Warriorplus
• CJ - Commission Junction
• ShareaSale
• Awin
• And a few more

You can join as an affiliate with these networks for free, promote the products from their network on various channels and platforms and earn money once you generate sales from the links you promoted.

Things Required to Join in the Affiliate Marketing Programs

It's actually vary from one affiliate network to another.

Let's take Amazon Associates approval process, you need either a blog or YouTube channel to apply for Amazon Associates program.

While creating your account, along with the basic details, you are requested to fillup either your blog URL or even YT channel URL.

Craeting a blog is easy nowadays as blogging platform like WordPress made your work easier and you can set up your affiliate blog in just 30 minutes.

I will write down soon a separate post for how to create a blog to promote affiliate products and make money.

So, coming back to the point, once the Amazon Associates approved your application, the next step is to search for Amazon products according to youe niche.

Niche is a term used in blogging, Niche called as the subject what you covered in your blog. I will also write a separate post explaining Niche.

If your niche is weight loss drinks, you should promote the products related to weight loss drinks in your blog.

So, for example, lets take your niche as weight loss. So, you have to search products on Amazon related to weight loss and write blog content around the weight loss product on your blog, it may be review post, list post, comparision post or any post your choice. Once crafted a well-established post around the topic, then you should publish the post on your blog adding your affiliate links on it.

Now its time to start promoting your blog post. SEO is a organic and better way, but that takes times. Anyhow, social media channels like Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter are some of the channels where you can share your post link and drive visitors instantly.

When people visits your blog post and shows interest in trying products that you covered in the post, obviously they used to click your affiliate link and make a purchase from your link. If the purchase happens, you will earn your affiliate commission from Amazon Associates.

Depending on the category of products you choose to promote from Amazon affiliate program, your commission structure varies.

Same like Amazon Affiliate programs, there are a lot of programs as a beginner you could try and make money from Affiliate Marketing.
