My words speak of life's lessons and what truly is the key is being kind to others of course. Also, remember when we weren't kind because I am quite sure we all have been some kind of unkind to someone, maybe we did not realize it at that time. People that love you will leave you. People that love you will hurt you. I mean we do not do things intentionally, we do not see things in the moment because we feel, and act upon without thinking which is naturally what we do. Choices we make effects others, as well as choices others make affects us. REALIZATION, of what we say and do and acknowledging our true higher selves, we must go through these stages of human emotions and feelings to understand the spectrum of a human's worst and it's best. All in all verily I say that the truth in the end is love and humility and kindness which creates a different kind of human being. Yes, we must change constantly and transform into the beings we are all called to be....A Kind SOCIETY.
True story, the other day I was at work at the market in the small town I reside in getting grocery carts. This kid about 9 years old wheels around town on a big wheel . I have to emphasize BIG WHEEL because it is not a 2 wheeled bike where you can see him. He is on the big wheel hot rodding all over town on the streets, sidewalks and parking lots and you can not see him because he is so low to the ground.
He pulls up to me while gathering the carts and says to me "My mom doesn't like you." Now, I don't know how other mother's would have handled this, I said to him after there was a brief silence, " Am I supposed to cry because your mom doesn't like me?" He asked me, " Aren't you sad?" I said," Am I supposed to be sad?". I told him, " If I was to cry every time someone's mom didn't like me or anyone, I would cry a river." He shrugged his shoulders and before he scooted away on his big wheel, I said to him," Can I tell you something before you leave?" So, I told him when he is riding around the streets and parking lots to look out for cars because they can't see him. I asked him to promise me that..."look out for cars." Oh, and to tell his mom that I don't hate anyone.
As I mentioned this to several people of this uncanny conversation the responses that I got were not how other's would have handled it. I believe in being the change, we can not wait on others to change, we have to be change we want to see in ourselves and around us. If I would have responded in a hostile way, how would this have affected this child? Or for those that I told the story too, what kind of person would I have been if I would have reacted negatively? I choose to be kind. I have dealt with too many unkind people, it doesn't matter anymore because I realize there is a reason to people's being unkindness. So, next time someone is unkind, says something that is mean, think before you respond and rise above because you never know what kind of day that they are having or how they were raised. If there were more people to shed this light what a KINDER SOCIETY we would live in.
