1. You learn from failure.

As you go through the trials and tribulations of life, you'll always find yourself staring in the face of hard decisions, and when you're faced with these decisions, what would you do? Lie down and die? No, that's not an option. You'd fight back and you may lose but that's the beauty of failure, you learn from it. Mistakes only pave the way to success

2. Nothing lasts forever.

In the real world are death, leaving, illness. All things bad occur and nothing will ever last forever. Coming to terms with the fact that everything has an ending, you'll live your life more freely. Now I'm not saying love and family won't always be there but what I'm saying is that when you die or your loved one or even your animal, if you've already come to terms with the fact that all of that will happen, you'll live your life more freely, but I'm not saying don't grieve as grieving is a part of this entire situations.

3. Regrets are not beneficial.

Through life you'll encounter mistakes. Perhaps you kissed the wrong person, or chose the wrong friend, or loved the wrong person. These are decisions you don't say are regrets as everything comes with a lesson, rather it was a mistake or not. The biggest regret for people when they die is not spending enough time with their family and since you know this, don't follow that path. Don't stride down another person's mistakes in life. Will you most likely have a regret or two? Yeah, it's only natural but don't let it destroy your life of intimidate you in future decisions.

4. Death isn't an answer.

A great vocalist once said, "If the end is so much better why don't we just live forever?" (Brent Smith, lead vocals of Shinedown) and I take this to heart because so many people wish to die because life is very hard for them and they struggle constantly day in and day out but I'm telling you right now. It will eventually get better and don't ask questions like "when" or "how" because nobody knows. The future is never set so go set it in motion. Granted they're things people can't change but don't let those things slow down your passions. People get confused and say, "We live to die" but that's not true. We die because we've lived so make it the best life possible.

5. High school is only the beginning.

This is to all the high-schoolers out there. Life hasn't even begun for you yet, I bet over half of high-schoolers have no idea who they are and are so confused on life that it causes so bad anxiety and depression. Perhaps you're confused on sexuality, where you fit in, etc. But don't let the beginning become the ending. You're gonna read a book and expect the prologue to be the epilogue are you? No, you want to know the story. You won't be enveloped into the characters and the changing and the adventure so why not act it out? Act out your own story and continue adding. Write down what happens during the day and when you reach whatever you age you retire or whenever you think it's best to stop writing. Turn it into a story and possibly continue adding, who knows what will happen? Nobody so don't let the beginning become the end.

6. Don't always be the hero.

Now you probably read this and was like, "Well I don't wanna be the bad guy" but in reality. Sometimes you need to. Look at the movies, Avengers, Spider-Man, Superman, etc. They're always the hero, they save and protect everyone and it's so exciting and I would love to always be the hero but sometimes being selfish and mean is needed to survive and actually have a good life. Be the bad guy sometimes. I'm not saying hurt everyone and be a criminal and kill and steal and etc. What I'm saying is don't let sympathy and empathy cloud your mind when making decisions that make cause life threatening consequences.

7. Life itself is a risk.

Good decisions, bad decisions. Everything comes with a consequence so don't be afraid of taking risks. When you wake up in the wake up the morning, you are taking a risk by seeing others, staying home, etc. And it's always your life that's at risk. Sometimes it's your mind, emotions, even your material things but you never notice it because you've gotten so used to it so take risks because when you take a risk, you'll learn from that experience and hopefully make yourself a better person.

8. You're not replaceable.

Look at yourself in the mirror for five minutes and then go around your town, city, even the state and look at everyone else's face. You're not replaceable. They're is nobody else like you in this world, sure you may have the same traits and the same personality as someone, but you yourself are a unique person. So don't say to yourself that you're replaceable, and don't look at another person and say "I wish I could be them" because some of those people may be wishing they could be you.
