3 Simple Steps to Manifestation - How to Get What You Want in Life

More and more people these days are learning about how their minds create their reality and are becoming interested in things like the law of attraction and manifestation. Whereas everybody is manifesting their reality all the time, to begin doing so in a conscious, deliberate manner can be very exciting. But if you're new to manifestation, it can be hard to know where to begin. Here are some simple steps to follow to make the most of your manifesting powers.

1. Know What You Want

The first step is getting clear about exactly what you want. It's important here to focus on things that are personally meaningful to you, rather than things other people have led you to believe that you should want. If you're not sure about your real desires, this could be because you've got into the habit of repressing them - perhaps because others have told you that they're not realistic.

If this is the case, you need to start dreaming again. It might help to look back to your childhood and think about the things you wanted to do or be when you grew up. Or look to the things that you do for fun when no money is involved. Or ask yourself what you would do if you won the lottery and had all the time and money you needed?

It's important to let your true desires emerge here, and don't try to censor yourself or judge your dreams because you think they're unrealistic or inappropriate in some way. The people who live the happiest and fulfilled lives are those who have followed their dreams and are living in accordance with their real values and desires. And if others can do that, so can you.

2. Imagine Having What You Want

Once you know what you want, the second step is to imagine how you'll feel when you have it. Everything we want is basically because we think it will make us feel good in some specific way. You can start tapping into those feelings now, even before your desire has manifested. Create a vivid mental picture of having your ideal circumstances in your life already. If traditional visualization (i.e. seeing mental images) is difficult for you, don't worry. Just use whatever type of imagination comes most naturally.

The point is to practice doing this until you've captured the feeling of having your desire manifested. By doing this you're basically creating a vibrational resonance between yourself and your desire. With practice, you'll become so familiar with the feeling of having successfully manifested your desire, that it will no longer feel like a big deal to you. It will just feel normal. And at that point, it will be ready to manifest.

3. Get Out Of Your Own Way

One reason why many people think that manifestation doesn't work is that they set up blocks of their own success by constantly looking for evidence. This is like planting a seed and then digging it up every day to see if it's growing. If you do this, chances are your seed will never sprout and grow. It's the same with manifestation - while instant manifestations do occur, in most cases there will be a time delay while your desire 'incubates', so to speak.

The best way to deal with this interim period is to set some time aside each day to focus on the feeling of having your desire now (as suggested in step two above), and then just get on with your life, enjoying all the manifestations you have already. Remember, not so long ago these were just thoughts and wishes too.

In fact, consciously appreciating the things in your life right now is also important, as it helps you to further solidify your self-concept as one of someone who is successful in getting what they want. By taking time to acknowledge your current achievements and manifestations, you're creating vibrational alignment with further success. In this way, you become a person who 'has', rather than one who is always waiting for something else to happen before you can feel happy.

Put these three tips into practice, and manifestation becomes easier and more predictable.
