3 Things That Usually Happen When God Prepares You for a Relationship After Being Single for a Long Time

Here are the 3 things that usually happen when God prepares you for a relationship after being single for a long time.

1. If You Suddenly Realize Your Desire for a Relationship Wasn't Dead But It Was Actually Waiting for the Right Time

It might be that you are still not decided to settle down yet. Or perhaps you had a desire to be in a relationship but suddenly you felt nothing after a painful experience. These two things are possible. When God calls someone to a life of being single, one sign this person has a lack of desire for marriage. And certainly, some people got hurt by a relationship that they never want one again.

Song of Solomon 2:7 states, “Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.”

This verse is often used to warn people not to awaken a desire for love too soon, which is a good warning. But it can also be used to point out that there is a right time for your desire for love to awaken. There are many reasons God could have put this desire to sleep in you. I do believe that God has a special purpose for you during one season of your life when he needed you to be single. And then after some time, that purpose changes and you would be better off married now. It could also be that God only puts that desire to love to be sleeping as of the moment for you to be able to refocus on Him and give Him time to heal your heart. Now that you are finally healed and ready again, this desire to love and be loved again awakens. Perfect timing, right?

Either way, it’s clear in Scripture that romance is not a command but an option for those who desire to glorify God through it.

2. If God Has Given You Renewed Energy to Try Something New in Order to Meet the One He Has for You

I work in a call center and every time we are not able to meet the metrics, we are always asked how we understood the situation, what have we done and what should have been done in order to excel in the type of industry that we are in. We should stop doing the same things that we usually do because those things do not work for us anymore. We should try something new; something that is different from the old we.

This can be applied to our lives in general. There is only one person who has full control over your decisions and actions, and that person is you. Your decisions, your actions and

your personal choices really have a great impact on who you will meet and this will bring the possibility of you meeting someone new.

The point is, if you have been resistant to trying anything different, but now you have gained the energy to try something new or try the same thing again, this could be a sign that God is preparing you for a relationship after a long season of being single.

3. If the Person God Has for You Is Finally Ready for a Godly Relationship, This Could Mean You Will Be in a Relationship Soon After a Long Season of Being Single

As I have mentioned earlier, there are some things that are really out of our own control. One of them is that many of us forget about the other person in the future marriage God has for us. In other words, we might have been single for a long time because the other person is not yet ready for the relationship. We could have been ready for years but the other person God wants us to be with still needs more time. It is really wise to pray for your future spouse even when you don't know who they are. You can pray that God is strengthening them, helping them overcome temptation, and helping them get ready for you two to meet.

One variable that I think many of us forget about is the other person in the future marriage. I truly believe that God is never holding back something good for no reason. When you two would both be blessed by being together in a relationship to glorify God, I believe God will give it to you without delay.

When there is a delay, there’s always a good reason for it.

Once that other person is ready to honor the Lord with you, then no matter what happens, thou shall meet.
