You’re right.

You might not die, but you might end up with Long Haul Syndrome.

You might not die, but you might end up with a brain injury.

You might not die, but you might end up with severe vision changes.

You might not die, but you might end up with grainy vision.

You might not die, but you might end up with chronic pain.

You might not die, but you might end up with tachycardia.

You might not die, but you might end up with daily headaches or migraines.

You might not die, but you might end up with new or worsening chronic illness.

You might not die, but you might experience memory loss.

You might not die, but you might end up with brain fog.

You might not die, but you might end up forgetting words in the middle of a sentence.

You might not die, but you might forget how to fold socks.

You might not die, but you might lose your train of thought.

You might not die, but you might experience daily muscle and body aches.

You might not die, but you might not be able to smell anything.

You might not die, but you might start hearing things.

You might not die, but you might forget the code to your phone.

You might not die, but you might feel like you’re going crazy.

You might not die, but you might start to smell things that aren’t there.

You might not die, but you might end up with dizziness.

You might not die, but you might end up with a new new diagnosis of diabetes.

You might not die, but everything might taste like motor oil.

You might not die, but you might forget how to use a fork and steak knife.

You might not die, but you might be hospitalized.

You might not die, but you might develop anxiety and depression.

You might not die, but you might get lost in the grocery store, wandering the aisles not knowing what to do.

You might not die, but you might have to see specialist after specialist.

You might not die, but you might end up with tingling in your hands and feet.

You might not die, but half way through your morning bagel it might start tasting like mold and mildew.

You might not die, but you might lose your stamina.

You might not die, but you might develop chronic lung problems.

You might not die, but you might find any conditions you already had will be exacerbated.

You might not die, but you might forget how to reason.

You might not die, but you might suffer from debilitating confusion.

You might not die, but you might lose your health.

You might not die, but you might pass it along to someone who isn’t as strong as you.

You might not die, but your mom, dad, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, best friend, son, or daughter might.

To those of you who do believe you’re invincible... I say, don’t be a dumbass. Wear your damn mask. Get your vaccine. Stay six feet apart. Follow the CDC guidelines.

Because you might not die, you might not even end up with any of these symptoms. But, there are those of us who did and I promise you, we didn’t think we would either. We ended up with long haul syndrome, and let me tell you. It fucking sucks.

Life isn’t what it used to be for us.. we didn’t choose this reality. I think any one of us would do almost anything to get our pre-covid minds and bodies back.

So, yeah...

You’re right.

You might not die from Covid, but you might end up with a reality that you don’t know how to live with.
