Girls are not the only ones who care about their appearance. Although they rarely recognize it, boys and teenagers can spend hours in front of the mirror studying. Many are so intrigued by the way they look that they are afraid to start and develop a relationship with a girl or go swimming, for example.

And changes in the body, in full development, cause a lot of stress. But all these fears must not be fueled. There are answers and solutions to every problem in our minds. So here are some of the issues that teens face and what their solutions are:

The truth about boys

Boys and teenagers are not without worries when it comes to their appearance. Although it may seem so, especially for those who have created the image of "tough" boys, the changes in growth, caused by hormonal changes, are stressful. If girls are used to talking about this with their parents, girlfriends, then boys prefer not to talk to anyone about these things, becoming more stressed and complex.

The good news is that self-image and body image can be changed.

Is a positive image of my body important?

Your body image is a piece of a whole set of perceptions about your person, but also about how you are perceived by someone. If you are satisfied with the way you look, you are certainly more sociable, but the most important thing is that you will have strong confidence in yourself and your strength. But dissatisfaction can throw you to the other extreme. This is more common in girls.

Why is my body changing so much?

I gain more weight, my hair grows a lot, my voice changes. There are a lot of changes in the boys' bodies, which will leave an emotional mark. Some guys don't feel comfortable because they feel like they don't know who they are anymore.

It's hard enough to balance your expectations. A lot of young people can have high expectations from puberty, believing that they will develop quickly or in a certain way. However, it is good not to have certain expectations - pay attention to those in your family - uncles, grandparents, relatives, to get a clear idea of how puberty might evolve.

When everyone else seems taller

Not everyone changes at the same time or the same pace. You may stay short while your friends become tall and muscular. Boys often compare themselves to other guys in certain situations and places, and one of the most common is the locker room. However, it is natural for the changes to be different, depending on the person, and in this case, the genes have a lot to say.

You might try to talk about your worries with an adult man - maybe a coach, a doctor, a teacher, or your father, why not. The chances of them going through similar experiences are very high, for this reason, you will surely be understood.

The perfect picture? Wait…

A perfect image is created today especially by the media, through advertisements - women with narrow waists, voluptuous lips, perfect complexion, well-made men, worked bodies, etc. In fact, in a few cases, the ones we see in commercials look just like that. The role of advertising specialists is to "intervene" in their image, to perfect it.

So what to do?

Here are some ideas:

Recognize your strengths. Of course, you can't ignore your body and the way it changes. But you can help him grow through sports. What can make your body better? Maybe you have speed, flexibility, strength, or coordination, which can help you excel in a certain type of sport. Or maybe you have non-sports skills, such as drawing, painting, music, writing? If one of these activities helps you feel good, then take full advantage of it.

A beautiful body does not always mean athletic results. Too often, the way boys perceive their body image is closely related to their performance in a particular type of sport. It doesn't have to be this way. If you don't like team sports, look for individual possibilities. Depending on your interests, but also on the millet where you live, you can consider cycling, mountaineering, yoga, dancing.

Respect your body! If you want to look good, take care of your body. Smoking and other things that you know are harmful will charge you in time. A strong body can only be developed through healthy habits. Also, regular showering, brushing your teeth, taking care of your hair and skin, wearing clean clothes will help you to create a positive image of your body.

Be yourself. Your body is just a part of who you are - along with your talent for comedy, painting, or anything else that makes you unique. Your talents, abilities, and beliefs are just as much a part of you. So don't be fooled by minor imperfections.
