Have you been working out for a while, and still felt like you can't seem to overcome the feeling that your workouts seem impossible? Trust me, I've been there! Working out, and feeling like you can't overcome the hump of getting to the end is a frustrating feeling! However, there is hope!

I began working out when I was 15, and at first, I hated it. I hated it because it felt almost impossible to achieve my goals, just because the actual actions of working out were difficult.

Over the past five years, however, I have been able to devise some tips and tricks to help my workouts run more smoothly; and I know they will help you, too!

1. Have water handy on you throughout your entire workout. Water is key in helping you achieve your workout goals. Drinking water helps to diminish feelings of physical discomfort, help to energize you more, and it even makes your muscles hydrated!

2. Hydrate before your workout. This is another tip that is massively helpful for me when it comes to working out. I have learned that drinking water throughout the day, leading up to the time at the gym, has helped my exercises run more smoothly. Hydrating will help you to feel less tired, and more motivated.

3. Have a small meal before your workout. That's right: eat before our workout even begins! Eating a clean and healthy meal before your workout begins is beneficial! By adding greens such as a salad, or protein such as a piece of chicken are great for promoting healthy weight loss and muscle building. And here's a plus: if you add a small bowl of carbohydrates, such as pasta, you feel more energized to take part in your workout!

4. If you are incorporating protein shakes in your diet, have one with you throughout your workout! Protein shakes are amazing when it comes to building muscle, as well as working on your physical fitness. Protein shales are well, made up of protein. The protein that you get from your shakes will help to replenish your body, helping you to feel energized. You will also begin to see results if you are trying to build muscle from your workouts, as protein feeds your muscles.

5. STRETCH! I cannot stress this one enough: stretching it almost required in order to have a smooth workout session. Throughout your day, your muscles will tighten up. This makes for uncomfortable exercise sets. However, if you stretch the muscle in your body out before exercising, the discomfort you feel will diminish almost all together! Incorporating stretching into your workout routine is a life saver.

6. Don't have extensive rest periods between sets. If you have long rest periods in between your exercises, your body's muscles will tighten up again, and therefore, the discomfort of working out will return. Keep yo9urself active in moving throughout your entire workout. Sure, you may be tired at the end, but your body will thank you later, and the results will pay off! (Not to mention, if you have an active workout routine that you repeat each day, the exercises you take part in will become easier to perform.)

7. Reassure yourself that you've got this! The most important part of your body that needs reassurance is your mind. Reassure yourself before, during, and after your workout that you got this. Be your own best friend during your workouts!
