Full Story of How Baby born Twice

This is an unbelievable , medical resilience and hope story , This story of Margaret Boemer, giving birth to Lynlee Boemer. it occurred in 2016 in Texas Children's Fetal Center,

When Margaret Boemer, was at 16 weeks pregnant, she went for a routine ultrasound 16 weeks into her pregnancy with her third child. She quickly found out that things were far from routine.

Doctors told her the shocking news that her baby had a sacrococcygeal teratoma. This kind of rare tumor grows from the tailbone of the fetus and is found more often in girls than boys.

Unfortunately, this was not the first bad news of Boemer's pregnancy. Originally, she had been pregnant with twins, but lost one of the babies before her second trimester.

It was a shock at 16 weeks to learn of her daughter's rare birth defect.

Margaret Boemer, went to Texas Children's Fetal Center, to meet Dr. Darrell Cass for her routine checkup,

Dr Cass explained her that the tumor is trying to grow by sucking blood flow from the baby, yet the baby is also trying to grow, too "so it becomes a competition."

he also said "And in some instances, the tumor wins and the heart just can't keep up and the heart goes into failure and the baby dies,"

As tumor goes large stealing baby's blood supply , fetus gets ill day by day.

First Dr. Cass Suggested Margaret to Terminate her pregnancy , but they also have any way to Resolve this problem with a surgery.

If they don't operate now, fetus will die and she won't get chance to live.

First time born

When Margaret was 23 weeks and 5 days pregnant, Dr. Cass performed the emergency fetal surgery. By this time, the tumor was nearly larger than the fetus.

Dr Cass and Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, his partner surgeon, operated Margaret in this surgery , it took them 5 hours to complete the Surgery , it was a risky surgery that offered a slim chance of survival

Dr. cass and his team, realized that the tumor had grown so large that a significant incision was needed to reach it, they decided to keep the baby out side the womb.

During the surgery, the team's quick thinking and expertise kept baby alive. After removing most of the tumor, they carefully placed Lynlee back in her mother's womb and sealed it.

After operation they let Margaret Boemer to rest and recover ,

Second Time Born

Nearly 36 weeks completed Margaret gave birth to a baby girl, Lynlee Hope was born for the second time via C-section on June 6. she weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces.
