Concerning and exploring the human spirit and soul.
Spirituality Is a Spectrum
What's up everyone, welcome back to another blog from New Age Thoughts. I've been doing a lot of research on "spiritual" abilities lately. I've found that it can be incredibly stressful, at least in the sense of trying to continue a spiritual life while everyone else around me is boasting massive accomplishments in their spiritual life. However, through meditation, I've relaized, it is a spectrum. Everyone's gifts vary.

My Spiritual Awakening
I've been avoiding this topic for some time now because I wasn't sure if others could relate to my process. By all means, I am in no way a spiritual guru. I've not traveled, written a book, or been a participant in Oprah's Super Soul Sunday discussions. This past summer has been an exciting, exhausting, unsure, and happy one all at once. As you go through the therapy process as I have, you will come to a point where you feel like you've hit a wall. Meeting with my therapist once a week and completing the suggested homework assignments just made me physically and mentally exhausted. I wanted to give up; I tried to run, I wanted to continue to make bad habits and continuing my self-sabotage. Why? Because it was so much easier. After explaining to my therapist that I was ready to throw in the towel, it was one thing that she asked me that lit the flame to my awakening. The question was, "Even though you feel this way, what was your motivation to get up and come visit me today?"

Mirror Dragon Tarot Part 13
The Center card this week is the 10 of Swords. The central focus for the week is about facing the dark truth of how we think ourselves into traps. In working with the Swords, we look directly at how our cognitive thought patterns and accumulated knowledge dictate our actions. The ten brings us to the depths of that place we end up when we listen to our head at the exclusion of our heart. The tens are the apex of each suit, and in the Swords this means logic divorced from reality. Pure thought without regard to outside influence, inner feeling or consequences which may arise. Yes, this sounds dire and it often is. Sometimes we need to get to the very underbelly of an experience before we’re able to knock the ineffective, or even destructive, thinking out of the way and climb back up out of the hole we’ve dug ourselves into. On the positive side, this is the perfect place to make a new start.

What Is a High Vibrational Lifestyle?
High Vibrations, high vibes, high vibrational living; these are some up-and-coming buzz words. More and more people are waking up and realizing there is more to life than the mundane. Humans are multi-dimensional beings and many individuals have begun to tap into higher frequencies to experience an elevated state of living. This lifestyle is available to all people, but it requires some changes to the way humans are conditioned to think and act. What it does not require is a specific religion, age, physical look, or job, as a high vibrational life is accessible to all who are open and willing to receive.

Mirror Dragon Tarot Part 12
The Center card this week is the Prince of Wands. Passion and tenacity rule the week. I see the princes as the adolescent boys of the Tarot. In their progression from the innocence, their younger siblings, the princesses, hold they emerge with the basic information they’ve gained through that initial experience. And like young men who’ve just begun to experience the world, they feel full of their five minutes of practical exposure and the “wisdom” they’ve gained. Likely to have more vigor than reason, they tend to charge off towards whatever obstacles they detect, confident in their knowledge and determined to prove themselves. Those of us with a bit more than five minutes of experience stand back with a sigh holding the helmet and elbow pads left behind and remembering the walls we’ve charged and the reasons for the helmet and pads. The beauty of that headlong charge into obstacles is that sometimes those boundaries are an illusion and the lack of preconceived expectations allows us to break right through as if they never existed at all. Maybe they never did.

Mirror Dragon Tarot (Part 11)
This week I’m debuting a new deck. It’s still the Thoth (which is the only deck I use) and the images are reworked from Lady Frieda Harris’ original paintings. They’ve been “modernized” and made more aesthetically pleasing with brighter, more blended colors. I enjoy the new images, I hope you do too.

Mirror Dragon Tarot (Part 10)
Reading for 10-28 thru 11-3-19 This week we have two Major Arcana cards and how perfect is it that we get the dancing skeleton of Death at the center of the week of All Hallows Eve? The focus and energy for the week will likely be on discovering things in our lives that no longer serve us, casting away burdens that we’ve carried for too long and manifesting our desires.

Introducing the New Podcast!
I have exciting news! I am announcing a new podcast that I am hosting and introducing. The new podcast that I have created is called The Mage’s Circle. If you would like to listen to the podcast you can definitely find me on Spotify. This is going to be more for people who are baby spiritualists, or people who are interested in spiritual concepts but don’t know who to go to to have them explain. People who are not magical but are curious in spirituality are, what I like to call, “no mag," the popular term coined by J. K. Rowling‘s famous novels of the Fantastic Beasts Series, where basically it’s people who are not healers, not spiritual, but are interested in spiritual concepts, but have no interest in practicing them, but want to learn more.

Ayahuasca/DMT [Part One]
(VLOG posted at bottom for those who prefer to watch and listen rather than read.) It's being open to finding and thus accepting the beauty, knowledge, and wisdom being offered—even when it seems to be absent or insignificant from the perspective of our own ignorance and arrogance—that makes us Wise and Enlightened beings.

Mirror Dragon Tarot Part 9
Reading for 10-21 thru 10-27-19 The Center card this week is the Hierophant. As the first of two Major Arcana cards this week, the Hierophant at the Center brings the main focus of the week to our personal definition of teachers or leaders. In the early days of the Tarot, the Hierophant, also called the Pope, was seen as a religious leader. The position recognized in society as the voice of the “Almighty” in human form... And that’s where we find the catch; in human form. The connection to Universe—Truth, Spirit, God—is very strong in those individuals who choose to carry that mantle, and they are acting as an interpreter or go-between for the Divine. Although there is divinity in what they teach, they are not The Divine. When the duty of the teacher is to empower the student up to and beyond their own level, sometimes the hardest part is to allow the student to grow into bigger and better things. It’s my belief that the divinity in the teacher shows clearly when they watch, with pure joy, their students take flight up and beyond the point where that teacher has brought them. If we can get to the point where there is no fear, judgement, or competitive drive once our student surpasses us, that’s where we align with Truth. That dance on the razor’s edge is where the Hierophant lives. In being human he has natural competitive drives and aspirations coupled with the desire to bring knowledge and strength to those he teaches. Especially when the knowledge is deep and strong, the Hierophant is driven in himself to be the best at what he does. When bringing others to that point and beyond that drive, when it’s turned in towards Self, can show us clearly where we allow our humanity to tangle us up.
