How A Diabetes Diagnosis Saved My Life
How a Diabetes Diagnosis Saved My Life Two years ago, I was having some breathing troubles, so I went down to the Emergency room. After an hour's wait, they couldn’t find any medical reasons for my problems and chalked it up to anxiety, which I have struggled with for the last 18 years of my life. It was at this time that they did notice my blood sugar levels were unusually high and recommended that I get some blood work done. After putting it off as long as I could, I sucked it up and got the blood done and sure enough, I had type 2 Diabetes. My mom was a diabetic who didn’t really keep it under control and ended up with a plethora of medical issues until her passing at 45 years old. I wasn’t sure I had the strength to make the lifestyle changes needed in order to get my diabetes under control, I also knew I did not want to suffer the same ways my mom had.

What is Emphysema (COPD) and how can it be treated by Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)?
Emphysema is a Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) that is related to the lungs. In this disease, the walls of the alveoli get damaged progressively. Alveoli are the small and fragile air sacs present in your lungs in clusters at the end of bronchial tubes. They are responsible for drawing oxygen in and transporting it to the blood. In people with emphysema, the alveoli and lung tissues get damaged. The alveoli stop supporting the bronchial tubes due to which the tubs collapse causing a blockage.

How Reverse Type 2 Diabetes?
The most important factor you need to have to reverse Type 2 diabetes is commitment. Type 2 diabetes is a condition caused by the inability of the body to get sugar inside the cells. Your pancreas manufactures insulin in adequate amounts, and that insulin is what is required to drive sugar into your body's cells, but your cells will not open their doors. So the sugar stays out in your bloodstream instead of going into the cells where you need it. As your cells don't get fed their sugar, your body makes more and more insulin because it is desperate to get the sugar inside the cell! Because your cells are resistant to it, your insulin levels keep rising in an effort to force the sugar out of the bloodstream into the cells. All this extra insulin is what causes weight gain.
