Recognizing Health Disparities
The reason minorities are at a higher risk of getting Covid-19 because it is believed that the disease can abate from another disease. The first symptoms can be similar to other ailments and doctors may overlook illnesses. Covid-19 has shown many disparities within the health system specifically for minorities. It is believed one of the reasons could be that they are being misdiagnosed by their health professionals. It is also believed that they are misinformed about the dangers of other symptoms that can increase their chances of getting the disease. High blood pressure, mental illness, or diabetes, etc. can incrementally increase one's chances of getting the disease as a pre-existing condition. There are ways that citizens can protect themselves and prevent further damage to the brain. It has been found that Covid-19 can linger in the brain causing other ailments if not treated in time. They must also manage the vaccine effectiveness otherwise their healthcare will be overrun by the damage that Covid-19 has done to their citizens.

Living with Invisible Disabilities
I’m going to start by defining what I mean by “invisible disability”. When someone says the word “disability” to you, what comes to mind? Probably wheelchairs, white canes, hearing aids, and other visible aids for the disabled. You may think of people who are paralyzed, who have a service dog, or otherwise show visible signs of being disabled. Just to be clear, I’m not talking about mental health. Mental health issues such as depression and anxiety are indeed invisible, but have the term “mental health” to be recognized under. Asked to explain “mental health”, most people would probably have some idea of what to say. Listing things like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health issues. What I’m talking about is everything else. The disabilities that are less known, or less spoken about. The ones that aren’t recognized or understood by the general public.
