What Is a Macro and Why Do I Care?
Whether you're watching your weight or trying to bulk up with muscle, you've probably hit the internet looking for help, suggestions, and information at least once. If your search has been anything like mine, you will have stumbled across something called "Macros." Sometimes called Macronutrients or referred to in a programme called IIFYM (if it fits your macros), I gave a macronutrient diet a go recently with great success.

I'm Starting a Pescatarian Diet
Okay—first, a bit of background. All throughout my life, I've struggled with hormone problems. I was diagnosed with PCOS at fifteen. My weight fluctuated every season, and my face was an acne ridden mess. I was addicted to breads and dairy products. I love steaks. But, I've tried everything. I did the gallons of water, exercise, medicines, and more. Nothing worked. My weight still fluctuated, my face still housed acne. I hated it. At 25, I was 205 pounds (I'm 5'7). I was depressed and sad. So, I decided to get a personal trainer. I cut down on eating, I committed to the gallon of water a day, and I lost 30 pounds. Now, I'm 26 and just want to continue to be healthy. So, here I am.

Keto for Health & Fitness
As a teenager, I was very slim naturally. But as I stepped into my mid-twenties, the years of living a gigging musician's unhealthy life, with excessive drinking, zero knowledge of nutrition (I didn't even know what "carbs" were), I gained about 22 pounds. Which wasn't pretty on my tiny petite frame. I ate the same amounts as my 5'10" boyfriend and drank nearly as much wine. My exercise regime was made up of dancing on stage during the gigs. As I entered my 30s, I started to feel like I had lost myself. Not that being slim is the be all and end all, but I felt my confidence levels weren't there. I started to feel sluggish, I was constantly tired, and I'd throw my back out whenever I tried picking up an object heavier than ten pounds. So I started looking for "diets." I tried every diet in the books:

KetoKraze
There are always fad diets every year that people seem to go crazy for, from weight loss pills, magic drinks, needles, and much more. Elimination diets are trendy and very unsustainable for most people. Ketogenic diet or lifestyle is a type of elimination diet but also so much more. Similar to the Atkin's Diet, Ketogenic diet restricts carbs, to send your body into a state of Ketosis. Ketosis is a metabolic state that occurs when your body can no longer burn glucose for fuel. Glucose is sugar; carbohydrates break down into sugars that your body can use for energy. When there is no glucose from restricting carbs and sugar, your body will produce ketones. This state will break down fat in your body and start using fat for fuel.

Benefits of a Vegan Diet. Top Story - January 2018.
I’ve gone back and forth with myself about whether to write this or not, when I was given the subject I was excited. But I very quickly reclined and have been putting it off for over a month now. The reason? I don’t want the backlash that comes from it. Isn’t that funny? I can write openly about my sex life and intimate details of my relationship, but I am worried about the backlash from writing about what I choose to eat?!
