Although the hand is the most end of the upper limb, but people can not live without the help of the hand in their daily activities. Especially for those who need to operate computers and instruments, the workload of hands is huge every day.

At the end of the day's work, there is often a feeling of stiff fingers, and only after proper activity and rest, the symptoms can be relieved, which is a manifestation of excessive use of the hands.

Some people in life do not have too much activity in their hands, but it is the performance of stiff fingers and the inability to clench them into a fist when they wake up in the morning. This situation may not be related to fatigue, but the following four diseases are on the rise.

1、Diabetes

Friends who know about diabetes should know that the scary thing about diabetes is not only the elevated blood sugar, but the late stage can cause a variety of complications because high blood sugar can cause damage to the patient's blood vessels and nervous system.

The hand, located at the end of the limb, is inherently susceptible to the effects of high blood sugar, numbness, and poor movement.

In addition, diabetes may also cause the appearance of diabetic rigid hand syndrome, although this condition is less common in clinical practice.

The main manifestation of this condition is the poor movement of the hands, difficulty in bringing the fingers together when closing the palms, and impaired contact between the joints.

There may also be changes in the skin of the hands, such as a gradual thickening of the back of the hands and waxy changes in the skin.

2、Rheumatoid arthritis

This is a disease that can appear at any age, but according to clinical research, women around 40-60 years old are more likely to have attacks.

The disease can involve the cartilage tissue of several large joints, the more frequent is the knee, hip, etc. In addition, small joints may also be affected by it, such as in patients in the morning after waking up, there will be stiff joints, fingers that can not be closed into a fist, finger inflexibility, and many other manifestations.

In severe cases, it may even cause joint deformities and damage to various body systems.

3、Primary arthritis

Primary arthritis and the above-mentioned rheumatoid joints are degenerative joint diseases, which means that the older the person is, the higher the prevalence will be.

Especially in people over 60 years old, the prevalence rate can reach over 50! The symptoms are similar to those of rheumatoid arthritis in that patients may experience stiffness of the finger joints in the morning.

However, there is another major difference between the two, and that is the duration of the stiffness is different. In general, primary arthritis has a shorter duration of joint stiffness after waking up in the morning, which may be relieved in 2-3 minutes. This is not the case with anti-rheumatoid arthritis, which can last even longer than 30 minutes and the symptoms can disappear slowly.

4、Osteoporosis

In essence, osteoporosis is not considered a disease, it is only a symptom of human aging, and bone loss, the more middle-aged and elderly, women enter menopause, the more likely osteoporosis.

However, this does not mean that osteoporosis does not require vigilance. According to clinical surveys, the chances of fractures and osteoarthritis in people with osteoporosis are significantly higher than in people with normal bone density. Moreover, osteoporosis is also likely to cause muscle pain, morning stiffness of the hands, and other symptoms.

All four of these diseases can cause symptoms such as stiffness and poor mobility of the finger joints to occur. However, it is difficult to determine what is wrong with the body based on one symptom alone. Patients need to undergo the next step of examination to determine what is affecting the finger joint movement, and then carry out the targeted treatment.
