I don't know about you, but taking a shower is my favorite part of the day. It feels like a ritual, an ideal way to wind down, and a great way to start the day.

Water has the fantastic ability to make you relax. It feels as if you don't wash only your body but your soul also.

Being alone in your bathroom and taking a moment to relax after a hard day at work can help you calm down.

But it doesn't have to be so quiet in the bathroom. In fact, it might be better if you put some music on and sing.

Let's hit the shower.

Singing can reduce anxiety

Your monkey mind is torturing you all day, jumping from one thought to another.

No matter how hard you try to focus on a task, it will sabotage you in the background. Let's give it a banana by singing, and it will leave you alone.

While you sing, your mind focuses on the lyrics, the music, and on your breath.

This way, you leave no space for anything else for anything to distract you.

Singing increases oxytocin levels, often called "the love hormone," which helps you relax and feel good. Stress also increases the levels of cortisol.

Singing can help lower the hormone and boost your immunity.

Think about it, singing can become your favorite way of meditation.

Singing can boost your energy

When you hear a song you love, you cannot help yourself from dancing along to the beat. Music, in my opinion, is the greatest art of all.

A melody can move you, it can bring a smile upon your face, and it can make you lose yourself to the rhythm.

It just feels like magic. It doesn't matter if you're tired and drag your feet from the living room to the bathroom.

As soon as you hit play, your mood will change and, you'll transform into a different human being.

It usually feels as if a magic wand touched you and filled you up with energy.

Singing can help you feel like a child again

No matter how old I get, I always feel like a child. The problem is that the daily routine doesn't leave much space for us to play.

Feeling carefree, losing track of time, and laughing while playing is a great way to keep your sanity as an adult.

Since you're in the bathroom, you can let yourself free and improvise. No-one is watching you, no-one is judging you, you have no excuse.

Let yourself immerse in the experience and leave your problems at the bathroom door.

Singing can help you express your emotions

Singing along to a song you love can benefit your emotional wellbeing. Mainly when the lyrics express an emotion you feel and cannot deal with.

It doesn't matter if you're angry at someone, if you feel betrayed, in love, you name it…

Singing the lyrics can make you feel like you're talking to someone, saying out loud the words you want to say, and expressing your emotions.

Sometimes we don't have the strength to say the things we want to say to others.

By signing, you can feel the weight fall off your shoulders by hearing your thoughts and understanding how you feel.

You might not realize it, but that is why you feel so much better, especially after singing a song that expresses your emotions.

You don't have to be a great singer to enjoy the moment. Actually, the bathroom is a great place that enhances your voice and makes it sound even better.

In the shower, your voice bounces off from wall to wall and creates an echo making it sound fuller and better.

There are so many benefits to singing for your physical and mental health. You should make it a practice to sing in your shower.

What are you waiting for?

Create a favorite playlist, hit the shower, and sing along to the music. It's the perfect recipe for a great experience.
