Now Trending: Healthy
The Trend That Should Never End

Being told that you look healthy can be one of the most beautiful compliments there is. Sometimes people might take this as being told some passive-aggressive insult, only due to the fact that the statement mainly comes with a drastic lifestyle change. Such as getting over an addiction or bad habit, or overcoming depression or loss of a loved one. Even when a woman(or man) finally has the courage to show their true self and go out with little to no makeup on or without their need to be best dressed even when going to their local gas station. My stance on today's trends is that in 2021 we need to make the trend of being unhealthy go out of style. As the American economy grows so does the style of being 'plus-sized' and quick fixes of a synthetic nature. Such as plastic surgery, fake eyelashes, pushup bras, and steroids.
A friend of mine who is a naturally smaller woman, noticed that the size in the brands she normally bought no longer fit her, and even going down a size the clothes were still occasionaly too baggy on her, yet she was still the same size she was before. To prove it she dragged me along shopping, and during this trip I had the same issue. Yet there are no petit woman shops in the mall or surrounding area that we live in, but countless plus-size woman stores. There is nothing wrong with being plus size, especially when they have a medical condition such as hyperthyroidism or other health issues that make it so their body naturally holds more fat or muscle, but there is a difference when you're plus-size and your body was not built for it and it affects your health nagetively. According to the America's Obesity Epidemic - ObesityCampaign.org, over 60 chronic illnesses are linked to being obese or overweight. yet there we were, two healthy lady's who were being told they need to start eating fast food twice a day and all the cake we could find, to fit into the clothes that we wanted. There is such thing as being too skinny, obviously, since society seems to point that out in a more negative manner than the opposite end. Could that be because the masses are for the heavy consumers and have made it so there are fewer of the naturally smaller built people? Either way, no matter what side you're on or who you strive to be, look at what a healthy weight is for your height, age, and the type of lifestyle and physical health you naturally have. Aim for healthy.
In a similar manner is the steroid trend that has hit huge within the last few decades. The main users of steroids are males in their 20's and 30's, and despite the typical stereotype of boys shooting up in their highschool locker-room before the next hockey or football game, only 22 percent started using during there high school years, say's statistics from the National Institute on Drug Abuse website. Not only is this a more addictive forum of being unhealthy than most, but it's also one of the most illegal. Making room for it to be the most dangerous as well. You can get food anywhere any time and no one is going to stop you, same with if you wear tons of makeup or chosse not to eat, or if you work out too much and over do it; but getting drugs that a doctor will no longer (or maybe never did) prescribe you can lead people to getting something completely unexpected that would ruin there lives even worse. Not only that but once you start using those the addiction part can take your want for a better body to a need for a craving you never expected to have. Wouldn't you rather earn them the healthy way?
Not only does exercising the right amount and eating good foods that our body appreciates give us the right type of body shape that we are meant to have (in most typical situations) but it also tends to allow us to have clear skin, healthy hair, and an attractive personality. It's hard to be happy and feel good when you are not treating your body right. Healthy and natural should be the top trend in this coming year. No more of the chemically altered and added plastic to our lives and to our body. Natural and true; self love, it's a good thing.
