Focus on your breath: Always try to sit in a comfortable and low noisy place. Keep your body straight and take some deep breaths. Then, Just pay attention to your breath as you enter, and follow it with your nose all the way down to your lungs. Try to count “one” when you inhale first, then “two” when you breathe. Repeat this for 10 counts, then start again at one.
Explore Yourself: This practice is not just about concentrating, it is about learning how your brain works. What's going on in there? It's sad, but by watching your mind wander, frustrated, avoid difficult feelings, You can begin to understand yourself.
Go with guided meditation: In meditation, There must be someone in your life who can guide you. Whether it can be virtually or personally, but guided meditation specially in beginning days can work wonders to develop the habit of meditation.
In earlier times, It was very hard to get such kind of guidance but with the growth of internet era. It is now at our fingertips. So make full use of it.
Stay honest with yourself: At its root, meditation is about learning how to treat kindly no matter what you may face at any given moment.
Like exercise, some days will feel easier than others. This may be because of the amount of sleep you put in the night before, or the amount of stress you went down that week. Remember that it is a practice of meditation - it will not always be perfect.
Stay Consistent: The power of meditation comes to create a habit and make it a daily habit.
In fact, a 2018 study found that 15 minutes of daily meditation promotes good health and reduces stress levels. Research has shown that daily meditation has had a similar effect on the body in taking vacations.
Therefore, while meditation may not be as a daily routine, remember that keeping a schedule is the key to experiencing these effects.
Choose an appropriate time: Once you learn to do meditation, you can use it to calm down when you are feeling anxious or depressed. But if you are just starting out, you may find it difficult to concentrate at first if you are not in the right frame of mind. When you start, meditate when you are already relaxed - perhaps the first thing in the morning, or after you need to rest after school or work.
Remove all distractions you can think of before you sit down and meditate. It will make things easier for you to concentrate better in your meditation session.
Meditation is not always easy or peaceful. In starting, You will face many issues but slowly with time, You can definitely master it.
