Psoriasis Isn’t Forever
It’s a hard time discovering your psoriasis for the first time. After finding one lesion on your body you’ve probably gone onto the internet and found that classic statement, "psoriasis is with you for life." Let me tell you now that this is not true. It’s not even remotely true. Psoriasis comes and goes until you’ve manifested a bulletproof method to get rid of it. This bulletproof method takes time, practice, repetition and is unique to everyone. What works for me may not work for you but the most important factor (what you tell yourself every day) is vital in getting rid of your psoriasis, and I will be talking about the role of the mind in great detail.

Spoons and Semicolons
Tears of relief and joy trickled down my cheeks in the hospital bed. My mom staring at me, tears threatening to fall down her own cheek. Dad had left the room to grab a nurse and get me something to drink. It was the scariest procedure I have been through and it surprisingly made everything better. For a day.

A Month with an Acupressure Mat
My gorgeous purple Yogi-Bear mat* arrived today. It was a cheeky present to myself for my latest birthday (lucky for me I also got some other lovely treats from other people too). A sign of getting older is surely getting excited about how much pain you can inflict on yourself in the name of health and beauty, right?

How Cancer Took Over
I was 13 years old when I found out that my dad was sick. Every day it was constantly going to doctor's appointments, getting him what he needed, etc. At first, I didn't think it would be so bad because he was so strong and told my sister and I that he was going to be okay. As months went by, he started to get worse. He went to the hospital more and was in home hospice for a good week and a half. There was never a time I couldn't stop crying in my room. I don't know what it was, I guess I was afraid to see him so sick. He died on February 17, 2014, from Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.

To Ignorant People Who Think Diabetics Die Young
You see, I was once friends with somebody who thought that diabetics didn’t make it past thirty. When I see posts about how diabetes shortens the lifespan, I think, that’s a ridiculous pity party. Insulin prolongs your lifespan. Yes, it does. It means that you are going to be around until old age. I once knew a type 1 diabetic who was elderly but diagnosed at a time when people boiled pee on the stove to check their blood sugar. I was diagnosed during the invention of the diabetic glucometer. My elderly friend died after I graduated college.

Hooray for Injured Brains!!!
Entry #1: So You Know Our Story "You want me to SHARE our story! Us! This crazy, dysfunctional life?" I've slowly come to the understanding that the insanity of my last ten years of existence can actually benefit others and give voice to a community that too many overlook (especially those in power). But before we get to the long argument about the needs of the disabled community, the need for government assistance, and why IDEA, FAPE, the ADA, and other laws pertaining to equality for the handicapped—let me introduce myself.

Best Fitness Trackers You Can Buy in 2018
I've found someone who understands the reasons a sensitive dad is the father every son needs, gets the questions no dad should ask his stay-at-home-partner, and knows the things women are expected to do at work but shouldn't. His name is Devon Thomas.
