The Well Runs Dry
We’ve all heard some version of the saying “You can’t drink from an empty well.” As a stay-at-home mother with anxiety, depression, and a stress disorder that manifests it’s symptoms through paralysis, it is critical to try and keep my well as full as possible. When it’s near empty, it becomes as dangerous as an actual empty well. A seemingly bottomless pit waiting for you to hurl yourself into it. The daily challenges of living as a mom with anxiety and depression make my well seem very shallow. It doesn’t hold much water to begin with, and those reservoirs deplete very quickly when people constantly need to drink from your well every second of every day. It becomes a struggle to refill it as quickly as it is being used.

Cleansing Crystals: Sound
✨Sounds have the ability to elicit from us a great array of emotions. From joy to melancholy, there is nothing that sounds can't make us feel. These amazing qualities can affect our crystals as well; they can be soothed, charged, and cleansed with the subtlest of noises from a range of sources. Handheld instruments can work just as well as prerecorded songs or the simple experience of immersing yourself in nature and all the melodies that can be found there. Whether you choose to use your own noises or someone else's music, sound can fill our stones with the energies they need to support us.

Eat Organic to Live Longer
The American diet is made up of animal products. Americans believe animal products are a healthy food source because of the protein in meat, dairy, and eggs. Young children are taught to drink their milk because they need to grow and have strong bones. The USDA has a food pyramid showing two to three servings of dairy, eggs, and meat a day, that is almost every meal. As well as taste and appearance, animal products are packaged so they are easy to cook at home. But what Americans are not aware of is the way these animal products are made so they taste good. Cows, pigs, chickens, and all other animals that are farmed to be eaten are pumped up with antibiotics and hormones in order for them to appear more appetizing. Consuming these antibiotics and hormones leads to health problems such as resisting antibiotics prescribed by your doctor, as well as early puberty development in girls. However, there was a time before the industrial era when all food was made naturally, or organically. And today, there are many farms and grocery stores that provide organic animal products. If Americans start buying more organic products, eventually there will be less animal products processed with hormones and antibiotics. Then one day, everything will be made organically. Antibiotics and hormones would only be used in doctor’s offices and hospitals. The American people will be more natural and healthy again.

How I Lost 70 Pounds
Many people don't believe you can lose so much weight in less than a year, and honestly, I didn't believe it either. Growing up, I was tiny, barely had any fat on my body. When I got to the age 13, I started gaining weight once I found out I was lactose intolerant. Some people were confused because if I wasn't able to consume any dairy, how would I be gaining weight? I didn't understand it much either, but as time went on and I got older, I just learned to accept it. I didn't gain a lot of weight, but to my doctor and myself, I was overweight.

Sharing an Allergy with Only 0.6 Percent of the World
This is my story, my story about going through reactions after reactions, over and over, for two years straight, countless doctors appointments, and no answers. Until we turned to our own research and figured out what all my doctors couldn't. But, in order to tell this story, we have to start from the very beginning.

Crystal Cleansing: Water
✨Water is one of the simplest and most versatile ways of cleansing your crystals. this method can take many forms; from tap water to a natural source. No matter where it comes from, all water can cleanse and recharge your stones—provided that the gem in question is not damaged by water. Some prefer to cleanse their crystals at a natural source, while others take some from said natural water and cleanse their gemstones where they most feel comfortable. If you choose to use natural water that you have collected yourself, you can boil it before using it to cleanse things if you prefer. This method isn't for everyone as some practitioners feel that boiling the water destroys all of its cleansing energies. It's personal preference; use the cleansing method that feels right for you.

Butterflies in Your Stomach
Have you ever gotten butterflies in your stomach? I sure have. But how? We have a brain-gut connection called enteric or intestinal nervous system. This causes the butterflies but also has many different affects on the body. It also “disturbs the natural rhythmic contractions that move through your gut” (Bergquist). The body does strange things. So that feeling of butterflies, the sweating, nervousness, shaking, all comes from the same place that will push that stress and anxiety that you are feeling into your gut which can cause things like IBS (Irritable bowel syndrome).

Pain
Pain remains one of the most remarkable systems of the body. While it enables us to learn about those things that might be dangerous to us, it can also trap a person within the confines of their own body. Fasting and Exercise
A common question and the underlying uncertainty that gave birth to Fastingsport, my blog is—What happens if you are fasting and chose to work out? Can you work out and fast? Will, you go into some catabolic state and lose all your muscle gains or endurance? Are you going to end up with brittle nails, hair loss and sickly? You here these myths often in conversations involving nutrition and exercise. Most athletes wouldn’t even consider fasting. They operate on a caloric surplus, eating once every couple of hours, up to seven meals a day. Some eat huge amounts of food to “fuel their workout." Is this necessary?

Stress is Bad... or is it?
For so long stress has been something we see as bad. We know that the side affects of stress can cause real life threatening problems, and too much stress could eventually lead to a heart attack, and even death. Why is that? Why do we picture stress as such a bad thing to have in our life? Maybe it is because everyone I have ever talked to about stress told me that is was bad, and I shouldn’t stress. But stress is inevitable. What am I supposed to do then?
