Mirror Dragon Weekly Reading #1 2020
The Center card this week is the 3 of Cups. This three symbolizes friendship, connection, comfort and the abundance we find in enjoying the good things we have in our lives from the simplest glimpse of a bright star, on an otherwise cloudy night to the kiss of a puppy with a warm wet tongue or the brilliance of pride in a child’s first steps, we are acutely aware of the beauty and bounty that surrounds us. When we revel in the pleasure of easy conversation, and the comfortable closeness of an old friendship or a strong emotional bond we find a matching comfort in the freedom to just be ourselves. I read once that a friend who sees you in distress says, “I feel for you” a good friend sees you in distress and asks, “is there anything I can do for you?” and a best friend sees clearly what’s going on and says, “stay down, I got this!” With this three at the center we have that feeling of camaraderie we experience when we know there's someone who’s got our back and the strength to know we can be that best friend if the need arises.
