Control yourself through Meditation
Our mind and body are drained in the stresses of everyday life and surrender to the constant pressure and stress we face. Physical conditions can be treated with medications, but with scientific measures, the soul that governs our morals, motivation and happiness can not be healed. You have to practice meditation along with other activities in your life to analyze your emotions and add peace to feelings. It relaxes the nerves and muscles and brings harmony to the inner structure, which in other activities allows greater productivity.

I was hesitant about getting a Covid vaccine, until I got one
Several months ago my wife and I sat down after dinner to watch a movie. Suddenly, she couldn't breathe and her tongue was swollen. Within minutes her face was swollen and hives covered her body. We rushed to the emergency room where she was whisked away. She had an anaphylactic reaction, and had we pondered the idea of going to the ER much longer, she may have died. After copious amounts of testing by an allergy clinic, nothing conclusive was found. Doctors finally suggested that the flu vaccine she had a day earlier may have been the culprit. Despite having flu vaccines in prior years, they explained that every flu vaccine is different, full of various preservatives and ingredients to keep viral particles stable until they reach your muscle.

Mornings
Mornings come, when you give them a moment they are less intimidating. To some a morning is a blessing, a welcoming start to a new day. To others "morning" can mean anything from a disturbed night sleep tossing and turning anxiously about their proposed wake up. You see I used to be like exhibit B, Things changed, later into my teenage years. The trick I found was resonate a happy memory to an early morning time, this mindset enabled me to crave that moment and wake up on time.

Remedial Therapy
I’m pretty sure she just leaped onto the table. I can feel her creeping up with the soft paws of a leopard just before it disembowels you. It’s unconventional and disconcerting, but I remain silent and stoic, primarily because I’m lying stomach-down with my face jammed into a gap the size of an iPhone. And I’m not wearing a shirt.

Misconceptions Around Tarot - Debunked!
In the mainstream Tarot community, there are a lot of dos and don’ts. And I’ll be honest, a lot of them I don’t listen to. They’ve never worked for me, and I think it just creates energetic clutter when I try to follow those rules. Interestingly, you find people who are tarot readers and people who are oracle card readers, but not both.

My Ongoing Journey to Self Acceptance
January 2021 I’m always keeping track and keeping score. How old I am, what I’ve eaten today, how much money I’m making, how much I’ve worked out this week, how much art I’ve made this month. It can be draining to keep score. It can highlight disappointments I have with myself. But lately, I've been trying to tell myself, “think less, feel more”. As a dancer, that’s something that I’ve heard in the studio. I’ve also heard it in guided meditations and I think it applies to many parts of my life. Instead of basing what to eat on what I’ve eaten earlier in the day, I am trying to base those decisions on how hungry I am and what I want to eat. Instead of holding myself to a strict work out schedule, I listen for when my body and my mind wants to move. And as it turns out, as a longtime mover, I want to move pretty often. I think it’s about the rules we give ourselves and how they align with our values. I don’t know that working out for the sake of having a six pack and being slimmer truly aligns with my values. Moving my body for the pleasure that it brings me and my desire to maintain my relationship to movement and dance is more in line with my values. If I consider myself an artist and human that is interested in connection, healing, learning and growth then that’s what my goals should align with. I’m thinking that if I become more in touch with who I am at my core, then it will be possible to quiet down the comparisons that I often make between others and myself. My automatic response to other people’s achievements is often to compare myself to them and inevitably feel a sense of shame at the idea that I’m not measuring up to where they are. But, if I know who I am and I practice acceptance, curiosity and openness on the journey to accomplishing my goals, then I think it will matter less what other people are doing. Or, even better, I can applaud what other people are doing and be genuinely happy for them.
