I hope you’re having a great week so far. And hope that today shapes up to be even better. Let’s jump into the cards.

The first card in our three-card spread today is the Knight of Cups. A knight sits on a greyish horse. He carries a single cup and is wearing light armor, indicating he does not intend to fight. This armor is more for show. He also wears a robe adorned with symbols of fish and water. His shoes have wings on them, as does his helmet. In the background, you can see a calm river with a mountain landscape.

This card is a good one that shows us that a message is coming. Messages come to us from many places and in many different ways, so it’s hard to say where this message will come from, but it will deal with something emotional. It could be about a relationship or a proposal since cups symbolize emotions. The fact that his robe is adorned with fish is also a sign of water, indicating emotions. But with the calm river in the background, these are good feelings we’ll receive.

Our advice card in our spread today is The Magician. In this card, a man stands at a table with all the symbols from the Minor Arcana suits. Cup, Wand, Sword, Pentacle. Flowers and vines are growing above him as well as below. He holds a rod in his right hand, pointing up, while his left-hand points down. This pose indicates the phrase “As above, so below.” I also liken this pose to his understanding of the flow of energy. And there is an infinity symbol above his head.

This card is all about mastery. The magician is a master of the four elements on his table; cups represent water, swords represent fire, swords represent air, and pentacles represent earth. He can command the energies of the universe and can use them in his life. In this position in our spread today, this card reminds us to be masters of our life. To be in control of ourselves so that whatever news comes to us will be something we’ll be able to understand, accept, and incorporate into our lives. The yellow in this card tells me there is hope and optimism here. So this news will not be bad news, but sometimes we need to be prepared to accept such messages. And so the magician is reminding us to do just that.

Our takeaway card for today is Temperance. This card shows an angel holding two cups and pouring water from one cup to another. She has one foot on the earth and the other in the water. Behind her, the sun is shining on a lush landscape. You can see a path leading into the mountains toward the sunrise.

Temperance is all about moderation in all things. You can moderate your intake of food or drink. You can moderate your energy, time use, or even emotions. This card features a lot of water, symbolizing our emotions. The water in this card is calm, so the emotions I see here are not strong. But they are there. Sometimes in this spread, the takeaway card doesn’t always connect with our previous two cards, but today, I think it relates strongly to the ideas of the first two cards. Temperance asks us to temper our emotions today. But more than that, it also asks us to think about what it means to temper our emotions.

Have we been overly emotional lately? Maybe we haven’t shown enough emotion? Perhaps some feelings need to be dealt with. These are only a few questions to think about today. When you get time today, think about temperance and see what comes up.

Thanks for reading. If you enjoyed this or if it resonated with you, please leave me a comment and let me know. If it didn’t, someone in your life might need to hear this message today. Please share it with them. Thanks again for reading, and have a great day!
