Hello friends. I hope your week is off to a great start and that you’ve had a wonderful Monday. Welcome back to another daily reading. Let’s dive in.

Our first card, the situation card, is the Ten of Cups. This card might be the happiest in the whole deck. A family of four is seen rejoicing. The two adults in the image are seen. The figure on the left has their arm around the other adult’s waist, and they both have their arms up towards a giant rainbow that appears in the sky. Two children are seen dancing. Within the rainbow are ten cups. Having the cups inside the rainbow shows that the cups in this card are truly symbolic as opposed to actual cups like some of the other cards where we see figures interacting with them. In this card, the cups are a part of the rainbow.

Tens are all about excess, and this card speaks of excess in a good way. There is an abundance here. There is joy and happiness. The rainbow shows all colors evenly and therefore is an excellent symbol of abundance. It’s also great because a rainbow requires two things: sunlight and rain. Two things need for plants to grow, and if the plants have that, then we’ll have a good harvest and plenty to eat. Having this card as a situation card means that we have everything we need to go about our lives. Everything is there for us to be happy and to have joy in our hearts.

Our advice card for the day is The Emperor. This card features a man sitting on a throne; he holds a scepter in one hand and a sphere in the other hand. This could represent the sun, while the scepter resembles an ankh. The Emperor wears red robes over a suit of armor. While sitting and watching, he is also a man of action and will get into it if he has to. He’s a good leader, an authority figure who is just and righteous. The emperor represents authority and societal rules. He can represent a father figure or a CEO. As our advice card, the Emperor reminds us to be good role models today. If you see someone struggling with something today, ask them if they need help. Offer your chair to someone who might be tired. Or offer a kind word to someone who might need to hear it. Hold the door for someone. These are all small acts of kindness that can really help others today.

Our takeaway card for today is the king of pentacles. Here there is an amplification of the abundance theme in today’s cards. The King is seated on his throne adorned with the heads of bulls—a symbol of strength. The king holds a wand and a large pentacle in one hand. He is well-dressed and appears to be very comfortable. You can see part of the town behind him.

This card is all about comfort in wealth. The king is a good king who is skilled in matters of finance. The pentacle is a symbol of money as it resembles a coin but also of earthly affairs. So it could also represent our home, land, possessions—anything of earthly importance. As the takeaway card in our spread, this card gives us something to consider as we go about our day. The king speaks to us of wealth and abundance. But also about being skilled with money and financial matters. Perhaps we need to look at our finances and make some adjustments. Today would be a good day to do that. I know that money can be a sensitive subject for many. So whatever your situation is, spend the day thinking about it. Are you in a good place? Are you worried? Why are you worried? Are there changes we can make that help us get to where we want to be? Think about this as you go about your day and see what comes up for you.
