Today is blazing hot making me feel as if I am in a sauna. Even the air-conditioner is malfunctioning because of the heat. Grabbing my wallet and sunglasses I book a ride to the cafe. In a mood to try something chilled & refreshing.
Forty minutes later the ride stopped outside the green tinted glass door. Paying the driver I got out of the car and am immediately hit with warm air, rushing quickly to the green tinted door I push it open and enter. The cool air inside greets me like a old friend.
Enjoying the cool I pick a table. Sitting down I relax for a few moments just taking in chilled crispness. Going through the menu my eyes are quickly drawn to the new summer deal that the cafe has just launched. It seemed perfect.
The zesty deal had a whole lot of lemonade recipes that I have never tried or heard off before. Choosing small original lemonade, small summer replenishing lemonade and small coco-lemonade, I waited for them patiently. There were many more options that I wanted to try but obviously I can't try it all at the same time. Everything sounded interesting and it was a hard battle to choose from.
The drinks are here all are chilled in a transparent cup. The original has a dusty white color like if you mix glucose in water the color you get is the same. The summer replenishing lemonade has a yellow-golden color with small black specks floating around - wonder what that could be. The coco-lemonade was clear like water with solid white jelly cubes at the bottom - I am guessing this to be a sweeter variant. Let's see how it goes.
Without further ado I began with a sip of the original one and I can freely say that they used a powdered lemon but other than that it wasn't sweet rather than that it was like citrus bomb in my mouth - you can help but blink your eyes. Few sips of water to clear the palate, I moved on to the next one.
I wonder why they named it replenishing. . . Taking a sip I can tell it is made from freshly squeezed lemons, I can taste the pulps of lemon. I like the texture of this one so far. Wait!! Is that pepper I taste? Okay. So, to summarise it has a citrus taste which is not overwhelming in addition to that it has a bit of sugar, pepper and salt - I guess now I know why it is naed summer replenishing lemonade; it is a natural substitute for ORS - just made to replenish what you lost to the summer heat.
Clearly the palate I move on to the next one. I hold back a wince it's like a sugar bomb; too sweet. The jelly cubes are coconut jellies, so it is a semi-sweet combination which dulls out the citrus flavor of the lemon. This is a drink I will preferably stay away from.
To me the summer replenishing lemonade is the best but they have a lot of other options waiting to be tried. I will definitely comeback often to enjoy a lemonade until the summer is over.
How many types of lemonade have you tried?

After that, was your hair still in place, or did it fly up to the sky? In my yard, I have lemon and orange trees. I pick four oranges, one lemon, add soda, and feel completely refreshed—without pepper and sugar, electrified. But if you treat me to a virtual lemonade every day in the form of a comment, I will gladly accept it. A very refreshing story amidst the heat. Vocal.🌞
The moment you knew it why it was names as replenishing is interesting. I have tried only one or two😊
Nice job. I need something to drink, not with pepper and salt.
Amazing message

Oooo, I've never heard of anyone adding pepper to their lemonades! So fascinating!
