Highlight from my Day
Coming back to the house after a tiring day at campus, I got a big suprise - grammy is home. Giving her a tight hug I went to get freshened up. Can't wait to spend time with my grandma. I joined my grandma at the kitchen table - we had some catching up to do. Giving my mom a smile we went ahead chattering like baby chicks while waiting for lunch.
Soon we were joined by mom and a large tray of pizza straight out of the oven. Homemade pizza are better than any pizza I had outside. Digging in - grabbing a slice I took a bite it was heaven. The cheesy goodness topping the subtle spicy flavouring of the chicken go too well together. It simply melts in your mouth.
As soon as you take a bite you get a taste of melted, thick, creamy and smooth cheese topped with oregano and while you are still enjoying this flavor you get a new flavor to enjoy and it is the seasoned chicken. Seasoned meat and melted cheese - a heavenly combination. This train of flavors and sensations does not stop here and soon you get a bite of olives with bell peppers and sweet onion. It goes very well together.
Not only does it look good but it tastes good and is healthier. Three slices and I am full grabbing the glass of orange juice I waited for my grammy and mom to finish their lunch. Covering the remaing pizza I popped it into the fridge for my younger annoying siblings who are still at campus. This was followed by a clean up and us heading to the living room.
With a basket of multicolored yarn we began knitting. A novice and two professionals I can already see my doom. Choosing a bright yellow colored yarn ball I began giving it a try taking advice from the two professionals sitting before me. 15 minutes have passed and I am still struggling, closing one end causes the other to to open and the entire thing get unwind, I am pretty sure they are laughing at me.
My mom was almost finished with the duck made out of yarn all it lacked was a beak and eyes. Grammy on the other hand had a finished product in her hand it was a beautiful hat with a bunny on it. Loved it! I am definitely keeping this hat for my winter collection. Just as I was about to choose another yarn from the basket I saw a tiny white paw extending from behind the saw and pushing the red yarn ball. The red yarn ball fell from the basket and disappeared behind the couch. We have unexpected company.
Slowly standing up with my yellow yarn ball now free of needles I went behind the couch and there sat a white kitten with a golden collar rolling around the red yarn ball. It looked adorable playing and lost in it's own world. Grabbing the knitting in one scoop I heard her give a suprised 'Mew!'
Taking the yarn ball I went back and showed my family the unexpected guest. We really got to close the window around here, these mischievous guests do cause big mess a lot of times. So has my mother and grandma sat there knitting I and the kitten sat on the floor playing with yarn balls.
