You have to think about vitamin D deficiency and remedy now.
A few words about vitamin D that is most important in our life.

Sunlight is the main source of vitamin D. However, despite being a country of tropical regions, the trend of vitamin D deficiency in Bangladesh is widespread. Talks have recently been started to tackle this deficiencies of this unique body, and vitamin D enrichment is being considered as a possible way in the edible oil.
Children in the absence of vitamin 'D' may suffer from rickets and adults may suffer from osteoporosis. Lack of vitamin D, such as pre-eclampsia, newborn complications, such as newborn hypocalcaemia, can lead to long-term non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and even cancer. According to the World Health Organization, infectious diseases are responsible for 5 percent of the people who die a year in South Asian Country’s Like Bangladesh. Vitamin D deficiency problems are making this situation more risky.
According to the Bangladesh National Micronutrient Survey 20-21, one out of every four (22%) is under the age of 5 and two (5%) of women who are not pregnant or breastfeeding have found vitamin 'D' deficiency. Many people think that people living in the city are less in contact with sunlight, so the deficiencies of vitamin D in their bodies are high. But research has seen a high deficit of vitamin D. among people living in the village as well as in the village. Although a large part of the population is at risk of deficiency of vitamin D, it is not understandable why this aspect still remained neglected to policymakers.
Although vitamin 'D' is made mainly from sunlight in the body, the demand for this vitamin can be partially met from natural foods. These foods include milk and dairy products, egg yolk, oily fish, red meat, kalija, mushrooms, etc. Traditionally, people in South Asian eat less these foods, eat more foods like rice and other sugars. Furthermore, awareness of the importance of vitamin D in the public and its deficit method is relatively low. Most people still do not know at any time of the day, how much time and how to spend the sunlight. Again, due to the increase in air pollution, the opportunity to produce vitamin D has been reduced from sunlight. Public awareness is important to get vitamin D from this natural source for free, which is a long -term process.
Not only is the problem of vitamin D deficiency in South Asia, it is a global problem. In South Asian countries like India, Pakistan, like vitamin D deficiency is evident, the developed countries of Europe are not free from this problem. The World Health Organization recommends that it is essential to take public health activities in this regard if the vitamin 'D' and the deficiencies of this national are not observed in 20 percent or more populations.
Vitamin D deficiency tests and medical treatment are quite expensive in view of the socio-economic status of the country. The activities that can be conducted to prevent vitamin D deficiency include campaigning for public awareness about the importance of coming into contact with sunlight, encouraging vitamin 'D' foods, and making these foods available for women and the elderly to provide free vitamin D 'in the elderly. To do, which is called Fortification. Vitamin D enrichment is an effective method of enriching food products to meet vitamin deficiency in the public and it is already in countries like the United States, Canada, Saudi Arabia, India, Pakistan and Finland.
Vitamin and mineral enrichment in food products is not new in South Asia to meet the deficiencies of the population. Iodine and vitamin 'A' enrichment have been made compulsory in salt in the country. Since the use of edible oils in Bangladesh is universal and vitamin D is soluble in fat, edible oil can be a suitable vehicle for enrichment of vitamin D. Furthermore, enrichment with vitamin 'A' and vitamin 'D' at the same time is more affordable than rich in vitamin 'A'. People will get vitamin 'A' and vitamin 'D' at the same time in the daily edible oil.
It is time to give importance to the high incidence of vitamin D deficiency and to take its resistance as a priority for public health. High incidence of vitamin D deficiency will increase the burden of the disease as a whole. Therefore, all the government, policy makers, health experts and individual levels have to work on this. The initiative to enrich the edible oil vitamin D will be beneficial for both the government and the people.
