China's development in the past decade has attracted much attention. We are pleased to see that with increasing investment in the medical and health sector, China has achieved leapfrog development in many areas, such as building a public health system and improving the medical and health systems. We are more surprised to note that in addition to the pursuit of high-quality health products and services, the health awareness of the Chinese public has also changed significantly. The positive health concept of "prevention first" has become more popular among the people, and the initiative of self-health management through healthy lifestyle, vaccination and other means has become a new consensus of the Chinese society.

To help the Chinese public better protect their health, and to shine with the wonders of science, is an important commitment of Sanofi in China. Over the past 40 years, we have always believed in the vitality and potential of the Chinese market. For example, by 2022, our children's vaccine products have protected more than 12 million Chinese babies in mainland China.

In the future, Sanofi will continue to implement the local operation strategy and increase investment in China, and continue to introduce more innovative products and preventive measures, so as to better meet the Chinese public's yearning for a better life. At the Fifth CIIE in 2022, Sanofi vaccine introduced Beyfortus(nirsevimab), the world's first and only widely available respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) prevention for newborns and infants, a "world debut" just hours after the product was approved globally in the EU. Currently, it has been granted the "Breakthrough Therapeutic Drug Program" by the Center for Drug Evaluation of the China National Medical Products Administration, and we look forward to seeing this product available to the Chinese public soon.

In addition, as an important innovation center in the world, China has made remarkable achievements in artificial intelligence, 5G, biotechnology and other fields. We also hope that Chinese wisdom can bring more innovative solutions to the world. That is why we have established the Greater Bay Area International Vaccine Innovation Center in Shenzhen, the first innovation center in China with ecological innovation for vaccines at its core. We are also working with local partners in China to build 5G smart vaccination outpatient solutions and explore new ways of smart vaccination. At this year's CIIE, the new generation of intelligent unmanned vaccination capsule, jointly built by cicada-Cloud Technology and Chinese Academy of Sciences, has attracted public attention.

In addition, we also cooperate with the Chinese government to actively explore the excellent model of building a healthy city. For example, in 2021, Sanofi Vaccine helped Shenzhen Disease Control Scientific evaluation of the medical value and social value brought by free vaccination of influenza vaccine among students and the elderly, which enhanced the confidence of the government in influenza prevention and control and the awareness of the people to get influenza vaccine. Established the "Shenzhen model" of influenza prevention and control.

In the future, Sanofi will work with more local innovation partners in China to participate more actively in the development of prevention and immunization in China, sharing the development opportunities brought by China and helping create a better future for mankind.
