Those 90 Days
From phone addiction to personal transformation

Day 1 – When My Phone Became a Mirror
One morning, I looked at my phone.
The screen was cracked. The battery was at 3%.
And my fitness app said:
“Steps: 648”
It hit me.
Just like my phone, I was tired, broken, and almost out of energy.
I used to scroll Instagram in the morning, watch reels in the afternoon, and binge Netflix at night.
I wasn’t lazy. But I was always distracted.
My phone had taken over my day—and my life.
That morning, I saw my own tired face in the black screen.
And I said to myself:
“This is enough. I need a change.”
The 90-Day Promise
I made a deal with myself:
90 days. No excuses. One small change every day.
Not a full-body transformation.
Not six-pack abs.
Just real focus.
That night, I deleted Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat.
In their place, I downloaded a pedometer, a journal app, and a playlist for walks.
I didn’t have a fancy plan.
I just wanted to feel alive again.
The First Struggle (Day 1–30)
The first 10 days were hard.
I kept picking up my phone without even thinking.
Standing in line? Phone.
Waking up? Phone.
Feeling bored? Phone.
But now, there were no apps to scroll.
So I had to face my thoughts. And slowly… I started to hear them again.
By Day 7, I walked 5,000 steps.
By Day 10, my screen time dropped by 60%.
By Day 15, I didn’t even miss social media.
It wasn’t a big change on the outside, but inside, I felt more awake… more present.
The Turning Point (Day 31–60)
Something changed after Day 30.
I started liking the challenge.
I took the stairs instead of the elevator.
I ran my first mile—without music.
I wrote in my journal every day.
It wasn’t just about fitness anymore.
It was about knowing myself again.
Friends started noticing.
“Wow, you’ve changed.”
“You look happy.”
“What’s your secret?”
There was no secret.
I had just removed the noise—and found peace in the quiet.
The Finish Line (Day 61–90)
By Day 75, I had a new routine.
Early mornings. Healthy food. Short phone use.
Every Sunday, I went for a run.
And then came Day 90.
I joined a small race in my neighborhood.
The sun was rising. My steps were strong. My mind was clear.
When I crossed that finish line, I smiled.
I wasn’t just proud of the run—
I was proud that I kept my promise to myself.
What I Learned
Phones are not bad.
Apps are not evil.
But too much of anything can take over your life.
I didn’t need more motivation.
I just needed less distraction.
By removing the things that wasted my time,
I made space for things that gave me life.
I started walking more.
I started writing more.
I started living more.
Your Turn: Start With One Step
If you’re still reading this, maybe you feel the same way I did.
Maybe your screen is taking too much of your time too.
So here’s your challenge:
Delete one app.
Walk for 10 minutes.
Write one thought in a notebook.
That’s it.
That’s your Day 1.
And in 90 days…
You’ll have your own transformation story to share.
