Hooray! You finally reached to that point in your life. You are now known as a "teenager". "Now I can finally decide what I want to do and nobody will judge my actions because I'm responsible and mature!"
Never judge a book by it's cover. Although the cover seems attractive and fun to read, the contents of the book is really tough and takes time cover up the whole book!!
But don't worry, this article has just the thing you need to ace your teenage phase and make loads of that you can look back at when you move on to other phases in your life. I will lay as much details as I can according to my experience.
- Become responsible for your actions.
- Try new things daily.
- Develop good habits.
- Go to the gym.
- Talk to the elderly more
- Take risks.
- Stop making excuses.
- Eat, Sleep, Work hard, Repeat.
1. Become responsible for your actions.
As kids, whenever we would always do something clumsy and depend it on others. For example, hitting a glass of orange juice by mistake and depending on your mum to clean it up while she yells at you for being careless. Now as a teenager, depend less on your parents and starting action by yourself.
You drop that glass of orange juice, grab a cloth and starting cleaning it up! Remember, as you grow up, your parents won't be there for you.
So from now on, take action yourself and do the right things.
2. Try new things daily.
At this phase, you've now been given an opportunity that every kid dreamt of getting. And that is "to try new things".
With plenty amount of time in your hands, go out there and discover the joys of this world. Here are some things you can try:
Playing a sport, Opening a business, Creating videos, Cooking a meal, Coding, and much more...
So don't spend all your weekends sitting on your couch and playing video games, go out and explore!
3. Develop good habits.
You look at yourself in the mirror and you feel empty. Ugly, bad mental health, fat, and even pimples and acne on your face.
But don't stress too much or you'll get even more fat!
These problems can be solved by good habits. If you want to know more about habits, read books on it. Seriously, it gives you double benefits: More knowledge and wisdom and solves all mental issues.
I recommend you readers, to read Atomic Habits by James Clear. Although this is the most talked about book on the market, it highly influenced me and made me make changes in my life.
Now let's solve some common problems:
1. Fat
- Go to the gym and eat clean (I will talk about this in No.4)
2. Pimples and Acne
- Apply face wash twice (Morning & Night), Eat proper foods. The foods that you eat can also impact the amount of pimples produced on your face..
3. Bad Mental Health
- Meditation and Gratitude Journaling are two effective solutions.
4. Go to the gym.
Aren't you tired of those fat hanging around your waist, on your chest and most importantly...On your belly? Just go to the gym.
It's super simple and only requires $45 to get a gym membership. Going to the gym allows you to make friends, learn more about your body, and even get advice from personal trainers or gym bros.
Worse comes to worse, you can't afford a gym membership. No worries, buy a pair of dumbbells with different sets of weight on Amazon or any gym equipment site online. I say all this, but what are the benefits?
Benefits
- Muscle hypertrophy (build lots of muscle)
- Improves mental and physical health (strengthens the mind and body)
-Builds discipline in your life
- Makes you look good, feel good all the time
5. Talk to the elderly more.
It's a lot more fun hanging out with your friends and speaking to them about random stuff, but elders elevate your talks to the next level. Unlike your friends, elders understand your situation a lot more and provide valuable life advice that you can implement in your life. Your elders will speak according to their experiences and by luck, they may even relate to your problem.
Make time to talk to your elders and engage with them a lot more in your life!
6. Take risks.
You may see all of your friends setting goals and ambitions for the future. But you don't have any goals or ambitions? Here's a quick tip: What you are passionate about, do that consistently until it is your job. You think that school won't land you your dream job, time to take a risk and go for your dreams my friends.
Of course, it is super important to work on school and get good grades, whilst doing that, work on what you love doing and wait Patiently.
7. Stop making excuses.

This part of the blog will get serious now. Imagine this: You are now a growing child in your family, sooner or later your siblings will get married and live their lives. Your parents will happily pass away as they've accomplished their own goal of raising children.
But there was one thing they're disappointed about, and it's YOU! You failed to serve your purpose and build your own foundation, instead you chose to live comfortably and depend on other people. You are now dead broke living in a dead looking apartment with no children, no wife... just YOU!
Do you want to live a life like that? Or do you want to live a lavish life with so much money, blessed family, the ambitious job you've wanted and pet named Raphael.
The choice is yours. You either stop making excuses or live your life full of regret.
8. Eat, Sleep, Work hard, Repeat.
The life that god gave you was not only to eat, binge watch movies and sleep. Your life is way interesting than that. People who are currently living in the streets, have no goals or ambitions. That is why they are like this. If you don't want to end up like them, WORK HARD!
