SpaceX has built enormous launch facilities, housing for employees, and support infrastructure for the Starship rocket program in Boca Chica over the course of its history. Residents and officials alike are getting ready for the next stage, which is formal incorporation and governance, now that the election is over. Starbase will be 1.45 square miles in size and will be home to approximately 500 people, the majority of whom are SpaceX employees.
