Summer is the season of warmth, sunshine, and rejuvenation, making it the perfect time to embark on a transformative journey. If you're looking to revitalize your living space, boost your productivity, and prioritize self-care, then the Mini Summer Challenge is just what you need! Over the course of 17 days, I will take you through a series of tasks that promise to refresh your surroundings, streamline your routines, and nurture your overall well-being. I first used this in December, when I saw Tayshabib on TikTok do her GMLT challenge and she even has a template on Notion that I have utilized and it has done my life a lot of good! So, let's dive in and create a more organized, inspired, and blissful summer ahead!
Day 1: Grocery Planning
We kick-start the challenge by planning and organizing your groceries for the upcoming weeks. Create a shopping list, explore new recipes, and ensure your pantry is well-stocked to fuel your journey to a healthier lifestyle.
Day 2: Freshen Up the Bedroom
Today, we turn our attention to the most serene and personal space - your bedroom. Wash your sheets, comforter, and pillowcases for a delightful night's sleep. Declutter messy corners, rearrange furniture, and create a tranquil ambiance that promotes relaxation.
Day 3: Organize Your Desk and Nightstand
An organized workspace boosts productivity and focus. Clear your desk and nightstand of unnecessary items, set up an efficient system, and make your workspace an inviting haven for creativity.
Day 4: Purge and Organize Your Closet
Time to tackle your closet! Let go of clothes you no longer wear, organize your wardrobe, and make getting dressed in the morning a breeze. If it doesn't spark joy, it's not for you!
Day 5: Craft Your Morning Routine
A well-structured morning routine sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. Design a morning ritual that includes activities like stretching, meditating, or reading to set yourself up for success.
Day 6: Clean Your Vehicle
A clean and clutter-free vehicle not only looks good but also makes your drives more enjoyable. Give your car a thorough cleaning to ensure a smooth ride this summer.
Day 7: Create a Space for Movement
Staying active is crucial for a healthy lifestyle. Designate an area in your home for exercise and movement activities. Whether it's yoga, dancing, or a home gym, prioritize your physical health.
Day 8: Establish an Evening Routine
End your day on a high note with a soothing evening routine. Unwind with activities such as journaling, reading, or a calming skincare routine to promote restful sleep.
Day 9: Schedule Appointments
Don't put off those appointments any longer.! Whether it's a doctor's visit or a long-overdue haircut, take care of yourself by scheduling and committing to necessary appointments.
Day 10: Create a Mood Board
Visualize your dreams and aspirations for the next month through a creative mood board. Use images, colors, and words that inspire you to stay motivated and focused. I use canva for everything mood board related
Day 11: Take Control of Your Time
Minimize distractions and reclaim your time. Adjust notification settings on your devices, join focus groups, and implement time management techniques to boost productivity.
Day 12: Plan an Outing with a Friend
Social connections are essential for our well-being! Plan a fun outing or catch up with a friend or two over coffee to create lasting memories.
Day 13: Back Up Electronics
Protect your precious digital data by backing up your electronics. Ensure your files and photos are safe, giving you peace of mind for the future.
Day 14: Prioritize Your Mental Health
Your mental well-being matters. Download any apps to help with anxiety or stress, invest in a journal to express your thoughts, and find healthy coping mechanisms to nurture your mind. I personally use a journal, which has helped me immensely.
Day 15: Restock Home Essentials
Take an inventory of household supplies and restock any essentials. This step ensures that you'll have a comfortable and well-equipped living space!
Day 16: Treat Yourself to a Self-Care Day
You've worked hard throughout this challenge, so now it's time to reward yourself. Indulge in a day of pampering and self-care activities that bring you joy and relaxation. #Treatyoself
Day 17: Reflect and Celebrate
Congratulations! You've completed the GMLT Mini Summer Challenge and transformed your life in just 17 days. Take a moment to reflect on the journey, celebrate your accomplishments, and embrace the positive changes you've made.
