Anandayya - A New Age Bodhidharama

When India is frightened and gripped in the fever of Covid-19 second wave, all eyes are on Nellore(District in Andhra Pradesh )now.

Thousands of people flocked to Krishnapatnam (in Nellore District) for the drug when Ayush declared that Anandayya's Medicine does not contain any harmful ingredients.

Although, it is not clear whether the drug cures Covid, but the people of Telugu states have great faith in that drug.

From the last 30 days, demand for it has also increased across the country and even people across the globe are showing interest to know about this.

Now many people are comparing him with Bodhidharma with admiring texts on many social media platforms. Daily, thousands of people are taking that drug and getting cured of Covid -19. Even people who are in a critical situation are also coming in ambulances and taking medicine from Anandayya.

Demand for Anandayya’s herbal medicine has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals. Drug research is currently underway at the Ayurveda Colleges in Vijayawada and Tirupathi, under the direction of CCRAS.

They are collecting details by phone from those who have taken medicine from Anandayya in Krishnapatnam. They found that most people took the drug as preventive care.

Ayurvedic doctors are trying to gather information on who used the medicine after they were tested positive. Ayurvedic experts’ panel have asked the Nellore district administration to collect and send more phone numbers.

The Nellore Police are not allowing anyone into Krishnapatnam as the demand has increased following reports that the drug is not harmful.

Krishnapatnam villagers are playing bargaining games over the phone, some are said to be secretly making and blocking Anandayya medicine in their homes.

Anandayya is not taking any money from people for that medicine. He instead spends around 1 lakh per day on raw ingredients to create that medicine.

But the black marketers took the price of the medicine to around 20 thousand for one dose. Black marketers are encashing the fear and beliefs of people.

Initially, Many news channels spread fake news about Anandayya and his medicine. After seeing his popularity and people's love for him, they started applauding him.

Here is the list of ingredients in the COVID medicines Anandayya is offering to Covid patients.

Total five types of medicines are used to treat Covid patients.

Of those, one drug is used to boost immunity and the other four prevents Coronavirus. These four drugs are named as P, F, L, and K.

Drug - P

It cleanses the lungs. Both Covid positive and non-positive patients can take this drug. Covid positive patients have to take it twice a day for three days and nonpositive people should take it twice a day for boosting immunity.

The Ingredients used in this medicine are Calotropis, Buckwheat, Bael. Apricot kernel, Neem leaves, Black cumin, Indian Bay Leaves, Turmeric, Pepper, Green camphor, Cannon wood powder all mixed in a bucket and boiled for four hours with the required amount of honey

Drug - F

This drug is only for Covid positive patients. It has to be taken twice a day for three days after meals.

The Ingredients used in this medicine are Pollen leaf, Pepper, Black cumins, Indian Bay Leaves, Turmeric, paprika, Nutmeg, two to three kgs of Honey.

Drug - L

This drug is also for positive Covid patients. It should be taken once a day for two days along with Drug - P and Drug - F.

The Ingredients used in this drug are Amaranth and Bhringaraj leaves, Pepper, Black cumin, Indian Bay Leaves, Turmeric, Papaya, Nutmeg, and two to three kg of honey.

Drug - K

This drug is also for Covid positive patients. It has to be taken once a day for two days.

The Ingredients used in this drug are large nuts, Pepper, Black cumin, Indian Bay Leaves, Turmeric, Peppermint, Nutmeg, and two to three kg of honey.

Eye Drops

Eye drops are used for those who have less oxygen levels. Based on the pulse levels, eye drops have to be used

The Ingredients used in this drug are Honey, eggplant pulp, and Pepper.

The AP government has, for now, stopped the distribution of the Nellore Ayurvedic medicine saying that it should be tested before blindly trying them.

Meanwhile, a team from ICMR has reached Krishnapatnam to take samples for testing.
