Already Done Christmas Shopping
Why it’s a good idea
It is not even October and you’re done Christmas shopping? Dear reader, you might think what kind of A type personality are you? Why would you be done your Christmas shopping by now Halloween has not even happened?! There are two main reasons to complete your Christmas shopping early: 1) you don’t need to worry about it. 2) if you forget what gift you got you feel surprised as well.
No, but seriously I have a method for Christmas shopping early because before I forget I buy it. Also, I do not like doing things last minute. I learned late in life that if I procrastinate and put things off it will not get done. So now I come early to events, I show up early to appointments and I get my cleaning done right away.
Picture this, it is a week before Christmas. The snow is on the ground, ice has sheeted the streets, the dark comes early and worst of all the traffic in shopping malls is atrocious. You are sitting in your warm SUV cruising slowly looking for that parking spot and from a far you see it, and you start driving towards it but sadly there’s a small smart car already parked there. So you sigh and you keep looking. Finally you see someone leaving the mall with shopping bags. You stalk them like prey and you finally get a spot. You try them get into the stores and some shelves are already empty and the retail workers can’t keep up with the messy shelves, so there’s sweaters mixed in with pants and you can’t tell what they are promoting on clearance or sale. You finally find a shirt for your daughter and you stand in the longest line ever. This where you realize you are getting so hot because you are still wearing your winter coat. You peel it off and now you are standing in line carrying that shirt and now your coat. Finally, it’s your turn, you buy the shirt and you get to do the same thing in a different store.
Now, imagine this it’s one week before Christmas. You’ve got your list in front of you and you sit down on your couch and you are looking through Amazon, scrolling and scrolling through product after product. Finally you find the product, but… it’s arriving after Christmas…darn! So close you find the next best thing and it’s sold out in the colour you needed. Now, you need to go to the mall and experience scenario A or you just buy it and hope it comes on time during Christmas.
Which scenario sounds good to you? Neither of them sound like fun to me. So, picture this instead. It’s one week before Christmas and you are watching The Santa Clause eating your favourite cookies. Your presents are already wrapped and put under the tree. You clean the house and it’s all decorated in full and you have nothing else to worry about other than making Christmas dinner. This scenario sounds the best to me. Everything is done and you don’t have a care in the world. Doesn’t that sound so much better? It’s because it is. I am done my Christmas shopping. It’s not even October and I’ve got them all wrapped and ready to go!
So now that I’ve convinced you this is the way to do Christmas shopping here’s a few things off of Amazon to get once October 6th hits with Prime Deals. I need to disclose that I am an Amazon associate and I do get a commission from these links, which has had such a great impact on my life. So check out these products: psst Halloween candy is also here!
