9 Quick and Easy Ways to Instantly Boost Your Mood

Here’s how to do it…

On any given day, there are a million and ten things that can bring down your mood.

The stress from work, family, and outside responsibilities can be extremely overwhelming.

Most of us are working so hard and struggling to keep it together on a daily basis.

We do so much for others and are constantly filling up the cup of others so much that we forget about ourselves.

This often leads to burnout, frustration, resentment, and ultimately depression.

On top of everything else, most of us are pressed for time.

And it's so easy to forget about ourselves and our own needs, and to get wrapped up in everyone else's needs.

But I have a cure for that!

The following are some very simple, practical, quick, and easy things you can do to boost your mood instantly.

1. Write down 10 things you are grateful for. Doing this instantly shifts your focus. You immediately go from thinking about everything wrong to realizing how blessed you are.

2. Watch a funny TV show or movie. This one is especially near and dear to my heart and works like a charm. I was watching one of my favorite shows from childhood earlier and I laughed so hard. It felt so good and instantly transformed my mood.

3. Look at some funny memes. Laughter truly is the best medicine. Funny memes can instantly leave you feeling lighter and happier.

4. Listen to an inspirational message. This is another great one. I love listening to inspirational messages from Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, or TD Jakes. After listening for 30 minutes, I feel like I can conquer the world!

5. Love your pets. Believe it or not, this is actually backed by science. When you interact with your pets, the level of the stress hormone cortisol has been scientifically shown to decrease. It also helps to make you feel less lonely and more supported.

6. Exercise. As many of us know, exercise is also a well-known mood booster backed by science. When you work out, your body is flooded with feel-good endorphins as well as increased serotonin, and dopamine levels.

7. Do a kind deed for someone else. This one may seem counterintuitive. But I promise you, it works wonders. This is something Joyce Meyer talks about all the time. When you do something kind for someone else, it increases your serotonin and dopamine levels and boosts your mood as well!

8. Go out in nature and take in some sunlight. Fresh air and sunlight are extremely healing and calming. When I go outdoors in the fresh air, I feel my stress levels go down immediately. The sun increases vitamin D production which has been scientifically proven to ward off depression!

9. Take bubble baths. Warm baths are the perfect way to unwind after a long, hard day at work. Warm baths help you to relax by soothing your achy, sore mucles, and it is also a great and calming stress reliever. For added benefit, add in some epsom salts and your favorite essential oils. Lavender in particular has been known to help with stress and mood.

So there you have it….seven quick and easy ways to instantly transform your mood.

What are some things that you do transform your mood. I would love to know your thoughts.
