AI chatbots are your companions for healthy eating, available 24/7. If you want to start eating better, you don’t need to spend a lot of time and money searching for a nutritionist; you can take action right now with the help of a chatbot like ChatGPT, Gemini, or ChatOn.

Ask the AI chatbot to prepare a meal plan

Creating a meal plan is a good idea for eating healthy and spending less time thinking about cooking and shopping every day. For me, it was a game-changing solution to reduce my mental load. When you have a meal plan, you can go shopping only once per week, buy products according to your shopping list, and no longer struggle with the question of what to eat in the evening.

When you ask a chatbot to create a meal plan, provide as many details as possible about yourself and your preferences. Tell the chatbot your age, weight, height, gender, level of physical activity, and your goals—whether you want to lose or gain weight. Additionally, mention your favorite ingredients or any products you need to avoid. On top of that, note how much time you’re willing to spend on cooking, along with any other preferences.

Discover new recipes

If, like me, you’re not a chef, you need not only meal plans but also recipes. Instead of browsing through various recipes on the Internet, you can ask the AI chatbot to suggest one and describe the cooking process step by step. You can also ask follow-up questions if something isn’t clear.

A few weeks ago, I was searching for shrimp pizza recipes online. I quickly found one with a tasty-looking image, but I couldn’t find instructions on how to cook frozen shrimp for pizza. Only the AI chatbot helped me, advising to soak the shrimps in cold water, thaw them, and then grill them in a pan.

AI chatbots don’t have limitations, and you can choose any recipe and adapt it to your specific needs.

Scan the list of ingredients and analyze their usefulness

Do you read the list of ingredients before buying products? I do. I try to choose products that contain more protein and less sugar and salt. If I have time, I review the long list—especially for ingredients like glutamate, which has a controversial reputation—and I try to avoid them.

AI can make this task easier. Now I can take a picture of the list of ingredients and ask a chatbot about all questionable components, then ask for a recommendation for something healthier.

Have real-time consultations

Imagine you’re trying to follow a healthy diet, eating balanced food according to your meal plans or recommendations, but you still feel hungry and face a dilemma about which snacks are appropriate for your situation. You can take a real-time consultation with an AI chatbot and choose a tasty snack or cook a simple dish.

Nutrition recommendations from AI chatbots are flexible and adaptable. You can change the plan and adjust it to suit your needs at any time, as often as you need.

Get motivation and support

The journey toward healthy nutrition or losing weight takes effort. Like any good habit, it needs motivation and time to become part of your daily routine. At the beginning of this challenge, you may feel full of enthusiasm and energy, but after a few days or weeks, the level of your motivation can decrease significantly. AI can help you stay motivated and stick to your goals. Talking with the chatbot, you can discuss your concerns and difficulties, ask for motivational quotes, or seek recommendations.

AI chatbots give us endless possibilities to delegate many tasks to them and receive professional recommendations instantly. Bear in mind, though, that AI chatbots don’t replace professional expert advice. If you have health issues, it makes sense to consult a real doctor or dietitian before making meal plans.
