Why You Can't Fail if You Never Give Up (MUST READ!!!)
If you're anything like me, failure is something you've experienced. It's also something you've mastered. Because what I've found is that failure isn't necessarily a bad thing; it's simply feedback that can help us learn and improve in the future. So if you're ready to change your mindset about failure, here are some tips (and memes) for keeping yourself motivated:
If you're anything like me, failure is something you've experienced. It's also something you've mastered. Because what I've found is that failure isn't necessarily a bad thing; it's simply feedback that can help us learn and improve in the future. So if you're ready to change your mindset about failure, here are some tips (and memes) for keeping yourself motivated:
If you've ever felt discouraged, there is something you can do about it.
Discouragement is a feeling--a reaction to an event or situation that makes us feel bad. It's not necessarily reality; we're just interpreting something as negative because of our perspective and attitude at the time.
You can change your perspective by looking at the same situation from another angle. For example, if someone gives you a compliment on your shoes but then says "But they're not very comfortable," instead of getting discouraged by their comment, try seeing it as an opportunity for learning: what kind of shoes are most comfortable? How do I know which ones will be best for me? Now I'm empowered with new knowledge!
Understand that failure is only a mental barrier, not a physical one.
You can't fail if you never give up. You see, failure is only a mental barrier, not a physical one. Failure is not permanent or fatal; it's simply an experience that we go through and learn from every time we try something new.
So when you are faced with failure in your life, don't let it discourage you! Instead of letting yourself get down on yourself for failing at something, look at the experience as one step closer to success because now you know what doesn't work so well and how to improve on it next time around!
There is no such thing as failure. Only feedback.
I'm going to say something that might sound controversial: there is no such thing as failure.
I know, I know--you've been told your whole life that failure is bad and should be avoided at all costs. But if you look at the big picture, you'll see that this couldn't be further from the truth. Failure is simply feedback in disguise; it's information that tells us where we went wrong and how we can improve our next attempt at doing something better than before. If we were all perfect at everything we did right out of the gate (or even after years of practice), then our lives would be pretty boring! So why not embrace those times when things don't go according to plan? Use them as learning experiences so that next time around things will go much more smoothly!
Connect with people who have been in your shoes.
If you're struggling with something, whether it's a heavy workload or an emotional trauma, find someone who has been through the same thing and talk to them about their experience. Ask them for advice and ask them how they overcame the problem. What did they learn from their experience? What would they do differently if they could go back in time?
The idea of failure is just as scary as actually failing.
Now, this might sound silly--but the idea of failure is just as scary as actually failing. You may think that you can't let yourself down and feel like a failure if you don't try, but that's not true at all! When we think about failure, we're also thinking about how to avoid it. But what if there was no such thing as failure? What if every time we tried something new, even if it didn't work out exactly how we wanted it to go or take longer than expected (or even failed entirely), then those were still opportunities for learning? And even if they weren't successful attempts at doing something new and exciting in life--who cares? There are plenty more opportunities out there waiting for us!
The only thing standing between us and our dreams is ourselves; all those fears about what might happen if we try something new are just illusions created by our minds based on past experiences which may or may not apply now or ever again in future situations involving fear-based thoughts about change itself being scary rather than anything else related specifically within those contexts."
Failure isn't personal, it's a learning experience.
There's nothing wrong with failing. In fact, it's often the best way to learn and grow as a person. If you never tried anything new or faced any challenges in your life, then how would you know what was possible?
The truth is that failure isn't personal--it's just part of the process of learning and growing as a person. You may have failed at something once before, but that doesn't mean that every time you try it again will end up with the same results (unless maybe it's something like riding an unicycle while juggling knives). And if one thing doesn't work out, there are thousands more possibilities waiting for us all!
You can change your mindset and view failure differently to help you succeed!
Failure is a part of life. It's how you respond to failure that matters. You can learn from it and take steps to help you succeed in the future. If you have the right mindset, then there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to change your view on what failure means for you personally!
So if we look at some examples...
- If someone fails at a job interview (or any other task), they could see this as an opportunity: "I need some more experience in this area." Or maybe even: "I was nervous about the interview, so next time I'll make sure not get nervous."
- When something goes wrong with their computer or phone and it stops working properly, instead of getting frustrated with themselves because they didn't know how everything worked before hand (which would lead them down a spiral of self-doubt), they could think: "It's OK; I'll Google how this works later on today."
Conclusion
We are all faced with challenges, but it's important that we don't let them stop us from achieving our goals. If you never give up on your dreams, there is no way that they can fail!
