Where to Begin

Because introductions are hard

By Wren KirkPublished 3 months ago 3 min read

So… Where Do I Even Start?

Some days I feel like I’ve got my life together, and other days I stare at my to-do list wondering which load of laundry is currently molding in the washer. My faith, my family, and my animals are my number ones — they’re what keep me grounded when everything else feels upside down. I love God, and I also love a good eye-roll when things don’t go my way. I’m human. And honestly, that’s kind of the point around here — this space isn’t about perfection. It’s about the mess, the meaning, and all the magic hiding in between.

If you’ve found your way here, welcome to a judgment-free zone. You don’t have to speak “church.” You don’t have to have your life sorted. You just have to be curious — about faith, about people, about why life feels like both a test and a miracle depending on the hour. I’m not here to preach. I’m here to figure things out with you… out loud, probably with a little sarcasm and a lot of caffeine.

Faith has always been a big part of my life — but not in a Sunday-best, perfect-Christian kind of way. More like an ongoing conversation I’m still learning how to hear. I believe God’s voice shows up in the weirdest places — in my animals, in laughter, in chaos, in heartbreak, and sometimes in the stories I write. Which brings me to the other corners of my world — Whispers of Windsor (or WoW, if you’ve heard Blu or I call it that for short) and the podcast I co-host with my best friend, Blu, called Witches of the South (WOTS for short).

That one’s our behind-the-scenes chaos corner — where you’ll hear us dream, ramble, and sometimes even crack open the Bible together just to see what’s really in there, no middleman required.

I don’t promise answers here — I promise honesty. Some days it’ll be about writing, some about faith, some about the days when everything feels impossible. But if you’ve ever felt too real, too questioning, or too tired to fit into anyone’s version of “how you’re supposed to be,” you’re my kind of people.

So… stick around. Read a post or two. Maybe listen to Witches of the South while you fold your laundry or hide from it entirely (no judgment here). And if you find a little light or laughter somewhere between my chaos and yours — well, that’s me,

Wren — in a nutshell.

Let’s Stay Connected ✨

If you’ve made it this far, you’re officially part of the chaos — welcome. You can find me and Blu over on TikTok @wrenkirkblujae, where we share glimpses of our creative process, late-night thoughts, and all things Whispers of Windsor.

We also hang out on Instagram @the_witches_of_the_south

— it’s a mix of real life, writing moments, faith, and friendship (plus occasional cat content, because obviously).

We’re just getting started, so stay tuned — more platforms, stories, and behind-the-scenes magic are on the way. However you found us, I hope you’ll keep following along as Witches of the South and Whispers of Windsor grow into something bigger than either of us imagined.

The heart behind all of this — the writing, the podcast, the laughter, and even the chaos — is connection. Whether you’re here for the faith talks, the fiction, or just the reminder that you’re not the only one trying to figure life out one messy day at a time, I’m genuinely glad you’re here. Every view, comment, or quiet read means more than you know. This space was built for people like us — the ones who love deeply, laugh loudly, and are still learning how to give ourselves grace.

So come say hi, send a message, or just keep reading along quietly in the background. Either way, welcome to the wild, weird, and wonderful little world we’re building — one post, one laugh, and one story at a time.
