Ripples in Reality
Sometimes I do not know whether my life is a never-ending dream or a heartbreaking reality. On Wednesdays, I feel normal, whatever that normal may be. On Mondays I feel like a villainous imposter sent to destroy everything in my lonely path, yet, come Friday I feel like a beloved victorious hero set to conquer the world for the better, for the good. I feel as if I am both, maybe all, yet equally neither. Some days I feel everything, other days I feel absolutely nothing. Either which when I do, I feel it all entirely and yet, not at all. To remain myself, whomever I may be, I balance delicately between being present, to then dissociating altogether.

He was cute, cocky, and approached me with an irresistible smile. He'd moved to Vermont to get out of New York, specifically Long Island, and I never knew what he actually was studying. I knew he worked in the city auditorium; was it with lights and sound?

Thanksgiving Memories....in abstract
The origin of Thanksgiving as a national holiday is celebrated on various dates in the United States, Canada, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Liberia, and unofficially in countries like Brazil and the Philippines. It is also observed in the Dutch town of Leiden and the Australian territory of Norfolk Island. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessings of the harvest and of the preceding year (similarly named harvest festival holidays occur throughout the world during autumn, including in Germany and Japan). Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and around the same part of the year in other places. Although Thanksgiving has historical roots in religious and cultural traditions, it has long been celebrated as a secular holiday as well.

If Only
Jake is a busy guy. Every time he starts a project or just thinks about starting something, he gets interrupted. Most of the time they’re annoying minor interruptions: phone calls, a knock at the door, text messages from work, the list goes on and on. If only he had a little alone time, he could complete some half-finished projects. No phone calls, texts, or people, for one day. Is that too much to ask? Unfortunately for Jake, his unfinished business list just came due all at the same time.

Not too long ago I was booked into a hotel in Manchester which treated the guests as though they should be grateful to be able to stay there. The service left much to be desired, despite their great Citizen's Charter which was paraded everywhere, and I made a mental note, as well as passing the word along, about not staying there in the future.

1 Year On Basic Income
The Basic Income For The Arts is a pilot scheme run by the Department Of Arts in Ireland that has selected 2,000 volunteer artists, creatives, and art-workers to participant in a 3-year-long study to record and report the effects of a Basic Income scheme on the artistic/creative industries and practitioners of Ireland. The scheme official began in October 2022 and will continue until August 2025.
